I smirk with humor as Seline makes a comment about Kronos and Cuirass already being here. They must have heard the call Jaidah sent out to wolves who hide in the darkness. Leave it to them to find sanctuary before the winter. As her eyes find mine, my expression softens as it only does for her. I can almost read her thoughts from here as she looks around Asteraia. She likes it here already and with winter on its way, I'm sure she wants to extend her family. I could tell by the expression on her face when she first looked upon Kronos and Cuirass that she loves being a mother and raising Satanican princes and princesses. This is her true calling and she wants more of it. Who am I to deny her?
Not that I ever would. I never thought I would find someone to share my life with, let alone have a family. That was ripped away from me years ago when I mated with a wolf I barely knew and she gave birth to a litter. I was there for them as a father because I never thought I would be again and then the meteor strike came and took that all away. It almost took me too. But here I am and I know I got a second chance for a reason. I found Seline again when I never thought I would see her again. I found an imprint too, Ailith, and she means more to me than she'll ever know but my family is my world.
Now that we're here, I release my part of the wolf, ready to relinquish the body for whatever Jaidah may want but Seline goes for it first. At first I'm puzzled, watching her for her coveted prize of the heart but I made a deal with Jaidah that she could have the body when we got here. But then I see what Seline has in mind and I smirk in amusement. She offers the warm organ to Jaidah and I glance at the snow white queen, waiting to see what she'll do. She compliments the coloring of Kronos then and I glance at Seline, sure that she'll eat up the praise. She's always been proud of her red and white markings as she should be. She's my queen, forever stained in the blood of our enemies.
Jaidah moves then to take the heart from Seline's jaws, gently, I note. She thanks her before eating the organ without placing it on the ground. She too must know the offense of letting such a precious object hit the dirt. She throws her head up then and calls out for our sons and her own daughters. I glance up, wondering if the boys will show. They're not usually one to come at someone's beck and call but since this is the alpha of their choosing, maybe they'll make an exception.
One of Jaidah's daughters is the first to show and she makes no hesitation in her movements for the carcass. She licks at her mother's jaws before going to the wolf's belly and from there, she tears into the intestines. I tilt my head, watching her with curiosity. I merely smirk in humor as I glance at Seline, giving her a playful wink. If we were to have a daughter next, I wonder if she'll be anything like this.
