Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

A long time ago, she had trained with Sinclair. It had been when things had been, well, awkward really. Her father had relaxed in the sand and watched, consistent in ignoring their awkward tension and inability to perform well - Sinclair, especially, had been nervous. Cersei would always remember that. He had seemed so afraid to get close to her and yet, she had been all too unforgiving with her (admittedly) pathetic attempts. Now, though, she had to try to at least best her efforts. She had a lot to prove, after all, and not only to herself. Things had changed and now, she had to work hard to prove to their new leader that she was not only suitable but more than capable of pulling her weight (and, potentially, the weight of others.) Plus, she wanted to make Sinclair proud. Then he'd be able to prove himself, too. Her desires were simple - finally.

Without her siblings, she had found herself feeling quite unusual. Part of her felt a loneliness distinct from any other she had felt before and yet, another part of her felt as if she finally had the space to breathe. For all the love she had for them, it had always been a challenge to live beneath their determination. It had drained her of her own at times, forcing her to realize how foolish the quest to take her father's role might have been. Instead, she had focused on other matters - exploring, learning, attempting to find her own place without the need for her family's shadow. Today would be the start of that journey, she had decided. Today, she'd make a move out of the shadow and into the light. She already felt lighter, and she hoped Sinclair could see it in the corners of her smile, a little flicker of hope in the backs of her eyes. It wasn't all doom and gloom, after all.

She poked her tongue out at his comment - appreciated the gesture? She wanted to chew on his ear for that. Well, that had decided her first target at least. In fact, she had been so focused on the premise of chewing him a new hearing hole that she had practically forgotten their reason for being there - his approach hadn't even startled her, not until his paw came out from beneath her, taking her own with it. A gasp of surprise came out, but she took the fall as gracefully as possible; she stumbled for a moment, crouching low to regain her center of gravity just in time. Still, she glared up at him with a little growl before she pushed off from the ground. He was close enough now that she could damn well get her mark - his right ear, or cheek, whatever really. She would just grab at the fur, gently, but she would make damn sure he knew about it. Sure, it got her close to him but he'd have a hard time taking her legs out without unbalancing himself. And did he really feel like scrambling around in the dirt like children again?
