Dania plans moving along Posted on April 23, 2015 at 08:51:27 PM by Jeff "Laca" Conway
The plans for the reopening of a new Dania jaialai and casino are moving along and jai-alai remains in the picture - decoupling or not.
The 50 million dollar project is on track as planned and a makover includes a removal of 9,000 seats in the 62 year old building.
Jai-alai is being "repackaged with a re-emphasis on the struggling pari-matual game. In addition to jai-alai, 900 slot machines, 30 poker tables, restaurants will all be part of the establishment - which will be getting a new name.
Last year, a casino was opened on the second floor but failed to generate revenue. In that place, a concert hall will open.
Plans for the 500 hotel and marina are on the backburner for now. Replies: There have been no replies.
