News - 6/19/21
Summer is here and Fall is short around the corner. There is unrest as it stands but, perhaps it is to our advantage. Let no one question our strength. Those who wish to speak on rank, seek me out. If anyone wishes to put a hunt together inform me. Adults or others who wish to rise in rank may seek me out.

((Got internet at the public library for a bit today so got this post done for you all, I tried to get everyone in, I apologies if I missed anyone, it is hard to write with children's story time occurring beside you haha))

“Well- someone is testy.”

I think it meant annoyed, I’d heard Uncle Azrael say it before to another child when they were in a bad mood, the mockery behind his voice laced thickly within my own in this moment as I simply chose to mimic what I had seen. I was told those whom are quick to anger are the easiest to outwit, to outsmart- not because they are foolish, no, because they do not think, they simply become blind to the world about them for nothing exists outside of a need for blood and maybe….maybe I wanted to see how easy this girl was to push, just to test it, to see what happened I suppose. Her heckles lifted along her spine as I circled about her, a grin dancing upon my handsome face with far to much impish delight then is surely beneficial to myself and yet for now I didn’t mind. It was game and nothing else, at least, it was a game to me- that maybe the girl did not think so had not truly occurred as a thought within my mind. I disliked her, of that I was sure, my mind already determined to remember her for I have no belief she will go away in time, or that her sister is any less bad tempered. Kill me where I stand? One eye lifted ever so slightly, a chuckle parted from my lips as my tail waved slightly in amusement.

“Kill me with what? Those little thorns you call teeth? I tremble in fear.”

I chuckled again, teasing at her still though perhaps oblivious to just how mad she really was and maybe….maybe, my own jesting was not nearly so innocent as it seemed, the violet gold of my eyes holding more then just humour- fleeting as it was before I moved to turn away. I think it was time to go- until the girl spoke again, offering a challenge of sorts I suppose it was, her sudden confidence an agitating thing as my small tail flicked once more, eyes narrowed slightly as I moved to look back towards her. My own heckles, small and fluffy as they were threatened to lift though I forced them to stay down. I would not get mad. I would not. I was….better then that. I was almost sure I was anyway.

“One day then- we will see.”

It was all I felt the need to offer, the wind suddenly seeming to have risen as my eyes flickered away from the white, red and black girl and towards the bushes nearby, the sudden change in the air bringing the scent of another….another Diveen boy. I never believed Isola when she said they will come, that where one Angel goes others follow….maybe she had been right, maybe we never were really alone and I suppose some part of myself liked that, sort of. I wasn’t sure I knew that boy but I managed a grin of sorts in his direction all the same. I suppose if he wanted to hide in a bush that was fine, I think we were done here. I saw my field I found myself an arch nemesis and now it is time to return home. How successful this day has been. I turned once more, just in time to see the other girl- the one I had picked to be a threat from the very beginning was lunging towards me. It was a lesson I suppose, I’d picked her to be the bigger threat then her sister and I was right, but I’d been foolish to take my eyes of her. I wouldn’t do that again. My own form braced, muscles pulled tight, prepared for impact the way I had been taught when a strike could not be avoided, surprised I suppose- that such training had come so quickly to my mind, my little body reacting well before my mind had truly considered it. I’d been told over and over to practice, that practice made the mind learn and when the mind learned the muscles remembered. I’d never believed it, not until now- my Father taught me that. Maybe I should have listened more.

The hit never came though, Orfiel flying suddenly in front of me to collide with the girl in an effort to knock her sideways, my own eyes widening slightly before my head turned slightly back to Widow, words barely above a whisper.

“Well look at that- I inspire loyalty. I’m already winning.”

I managed an impish grin once more before lunging suddenly forward to land beside Orfiel once more, shoulder pressed into his own, the both of us facing Gehenna now as a growl rolled within my own chest, puppy-ish and light yet there all the same. If she wanted to play rough, then fine, we could play rough. The sudden appearance of Calliel saw my head jerk in time with Fiel’s own, watching as she moved to try and knock another puppy away from Ame, the boy within the bushes as I frowned. I didn’t know that boy well, but had I seen the other pup sneaking up on him I would have aided him. He may not be my brother but he is our wolf and that makes him worthy of defence. Calliel seemed to have sorted it though before she moved to step between us all, my own eyes rolling slightly. It was like she thought she was important, like she thought she was someone. Maybe she is a Princess and maybe that is a title I won’t ever officially hold and maybe that annoys me a bit but why does that make her anything? When she proves herself, when she makes herself someone then maybe I’ll pay attention- although her biting my face made it difficult to ignore her as her teeth pressed lightly atop the bridge of my muzzle and I moved to struggle, pawing at her in agitation before falling still lest she accidently damage my nose.

I snorted as she released me at last, jerking my muzzle away from her before lifting my gaze to her own. She grabbed me…in front of everyone, as if I was to blame. No Diveen wolf attacked anyone, Asteraia started it, that girl puppy and her ‘crew’ came at us. I simply looked away, turning her eyes from my own as I did, biting the words upon my tongue. I will not be easily angered, no, it was better to remember- to just save these things for later as Orfiel spoke once more- eyes widening slightly as he told Calliel it had been his idea to come here. My lips parted to speak again before I stopped. Later. I would say it was my idea…..later, I would tell it to Mother and Father, not Calliel though I let Orfiel met my gaze long enough to nod softly towards him in thanks for now as Calliel begun to move away with Orfiel and Ame in tow- my own form halted briefly to turn back to Widow, Gehenna and Curiass once more as a larger male made his way in, snapping at Calliel before lunging after…..some sort of male intruder who must have snuck in, lips pulled upward into a daring grin once more before speaking just loud enough for the other puppies to hear.

“We’ll finish this later- no adults next time, just us.”

Well- we had to find out who was better didn’t we? We would, later, I’d find a place we could all meet if I had to. I turned once more, leaving the big pack male to chase the smaller male off or take the Asteraia puppies away or whatever he was here to do. His scent was almost familiar though I ignored it for now, racing off to catch up with others- finding place between Orfiel and Ame, speaking just loud enough for Calliel to hear as well as we moved out of Asteraia.

“Sexus Feminus- non possunt custodire seipsos me off, Fiel. At fit consequat. Primo quidem, quod puppy conatur advoluta est ad me, et tunc Calliel. Puella, tibi dico, quod non indiget ya- eos.”
(Females- they can’t keep themselves off me- Fiel. First that puppy throws herself at me and then Calliel. It’s becoming a real problem. Girls, they love me.)
