Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

(Just correcting but Sorcha is Cream and Black, not white and black ;) Also, if her weird beliefs in hearing the supernatural fey bother you just let me know and I will have her clueless to him ;))

It seemed many were off put by her friendly behavior and yet Sorcha fancied that she could tell the bad apples from the good. After all, she had the insight of the fey and their unintelligible jabberings. It might simply be that Sorcha was just in tune to the things that each body put off for wolves and humans alike had secret languages one might learn if they were astute enough. The male was a handsome figure despite the fact that he was a tad bit shorter and lighter than Sorcha; it was odd for her to meet a male that was like her, of the small variety, yet he was barrel chested and built masculine whereas she was slim and dainty. Winter was perhaps not the best time to go meeting strange males away from the safety of Spirane. She was slender and could easily be subdued by a wolf larger than herself, yet Sorcha was confident in her attentions to the world. She would be safe.

Kneph's smile seemed wry and aimed inward rather than towards her. It is a curious thing and her lips fall to his lips with a knowing look as she tries to decipher what he thinks and feels. Yes, he could hide behind his eyes, but she was a master watcher and listener. She had to be to collect details for her stories. He seemed startled by her words and at his look she softened her smile into something apologetic for it seemed likely that he might not have wanted her to know just yet. Or maybe it was rude to say such things?

One does not need words to speak. She had been blessed with a fluid and lovely voice that seemed to match the temperament within her whereas he was cursed without such easy spoils. So she watches his ears move and his lips twitch and his body angle and she deciphers the crude language. It makes her smile deepen once more and a light spark in her eye, a pleasure to figure it out for her mind enjoyed puzzles. "You would not believe me if I told you, I think, but I shall tell you anyways." Her words are confident - it does not embarrass her, her beliefs. "The earth, it speaks to me, and all the hidden things that most cannot see. They whisper to me for they have seen you and they know."

Her ears flutter back and her eyelids drop down for a minute as she feels a moment of womanly charm seep over her at his compliment, soaking it in before flicking her eyes back to him. "I thank you for your compliment. I am Sorcha, of Spirane. Is there a name that you might be able to express to me?" Again her head cocks to the side as the shiver of wings is heard and a tinkling voice, as low as the sound of grass brushing against each other trickles across her auds. Phantom... it says... Kn----eee-----fff, it giggles. She blinks a few times as she mulls this in her mind and moves immediately to sit by him, a sudden blatant show of trust and uses her tail and paws to swipe away snow and make herself a comfortable seat.

NOTHING IN THE WORLD IS HARDER THAN CONVINCING SOMEONE OF AN UNFAMILIAR TRUTH
