The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

It is odd having to help Dexter, as part of his soul knows it would not exactly be...pleased to know that Dexter was involved in such things. He may not know much of the girl who calls to himself, but he had this feeling she would not approve. Regardless, he was not about to leave the blood of his soul linger. He was different than the white ghost of the night, he needed his tail covered. The wolves of Taviora likely would not be pleased...but it sure pleased Anselm in these moments, to know that such a thing continued to exist in the boy.

He held the wolf, waiting for Dexter to follow my command. He holds the wolf by its neck, his eyes of violet and orange flashing intensely as they wait for Dexter to react. Here was not the place for a body. It was too clear here, too obvious, and Dexter did indeed follow the lead and grabbed the dead wolf by the back end. Dexter attempts to cover the blood by scattering dirt, and although it may confuse those not thinking or searching, it would not throw someone specifically searching for a killer off the trail. Anselm did not say anything though. He will help him hide and bury the body, but he was not about to spend his whole night covering up every last drop of blood.

And so they go, towing the body along with their mouths towards where he motioned to. It was not easy to carry a wolf so large with two jaws, but they would manage. Anselm is a copy of wolf perfection, born of blood most pure. He moved with pristine elegance mixed with a ruggedness of his more wild mind. His eyes were trained on the areas of light that may cast shadow, ensuring that no one...watches as they make it to cover. When they reach the destination, there is a tree and some bramble, and quite a bit of dead leaves and various earth trash. Anselm slows and lowers the body, licking his lips as he tastes the blood that is left behind. The leaves that they lay him on can be brought to a river near by. He looks to Dexter, then pointed with his muzzle to where the bramble and tree combine, and it things enough where they could dig a hole and bury the body.

"Paws must move dirt," he states, almost in a demanding manner. He would not dig alone, and shoulders roll as he steps over the body and begins to use his powerful front legs to rip at the earth and tear it apart. His eyes would ripple over to Dexter, making sure that he assists. Soon enough, the hole will be large enough to place the body in, and Dexter will get what he pleases...but Anselm will not forget this night. It will stay with him, just as he knew Dexter would never forget. It was a...tricky thing, but if Dexter dare go against him, Anselm always knew where to find him, and exactly how to ruin him if needed. Hopefully, it will never come to that, and Dexter will enjoy more little games with the white ghost of the night.
