Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

We laughed at fate and mourned her;

Loyalty. It was a false trust system. No one was ever loyal to anyone before. Loyalty was a lie. The only sort of ‘loyalty’ that could exist was self-preservation. No one was capable of sacrificing anything anymore, because no one was willing to make that final fateful step. To earn anyone’s trust was only a false sense of confidence in the other individual. No one hardly trusted the other. No one could overcome that natural need to preserve their own lf. The sights of seeing those pledge their loyalty to another: to friend, leader, fellow member, family, or mate was always a sickening thing to witness. To know that one or both would lie in this faithless oath was such cliché that she hardly felt the need to point it out. She was trusted no one. She was loyal to no one. It was a pointless thing to have. Perhaps if there was a moment in her young life where she could have realized that such a thing was possible the gruesome girl could have believed such a thing. Yet any capability of connecting to another and inspiring some sort of need to be tied to another with such a sacred oath was long gone, no one had that ability, and anyone that did wouldn’t want to anyways.

Circling around the boulder provided the ghoulish creature to observe the scruffy looking whelp. Why he had ventured so far from his home, without proper protection, she did not know, but found him extremely foolish to do such a thing. Dark azure slits narrowed when she listened to his voice accuse her of being a fool and coward. This did not sit with her well and for good reason too. Grey-trimmed ears laced backwards as a low thunderous growl rumbled deep within her scarred chest. He was young and did not understand just what she had to endure on her journey. Once born she did not feel the warm caress of a loving Mother or doting Father. All she felt was cold detest and seething hate. It was something at such a tender young age she wouldn’t understand until the day she found herself being chased, the feeling of sharp teeth tearing into her flank, as thunderous growls forced her to run for her own life. Alone and unwanted she learned to take care of herself and overcame any and all obstacles, each obstacle took a piece of her innocence and left her as nothing more than a ghastly and gory hellish creature that was too far from any hopes of redemption.

She had every right to attack him. No one could blame her from doing such a thing. Yet she had decided it was best to simply…scare him. Knock him off his safe spot…and that is exactly what she did. Jaws parted to reveal her sharp weaponry as she quickly snapped at him as she pulled her mauled carcass up the boulder. A coy simper appeared on her black lips as her sapphire eyes seemed to twinkle underneath the winter’s full moon. Bathed in its silver glow haunting shadows attached themselves upon her dark pelt, the moon’s light emphasizing the old and recent claw marks that destroyed her face, enhancing them in such a frightening way. Her cold thick voice dripped like venom from her lips as her retort held a melancholy truth.

“I am sure my appearance speaks for itself about what I’ve overcome. I fear nothing, because there is nothing left for me to fear…I’ve become fear.

Obsidian hackles bristled and stood on their end as the earthen looking whelp continued to stand his ground. Claws scratched the boulder as her head lowered and her thick banner lashed out in a disdain manner. The damage had been done. What ever information he wanted to pull from her she would not continue this little game. That he assumed Tobias was her weakness was something he had completely missed – perhaps he should have listened to her closely. She killed her last imprint and the death of Tobias wouldn’t destroy her. She would pick up the pieces and move on, numbing herself to all the pain she had ever felt, believing that nothing good ever could happen for her. Marked as a Monster, and accepting such a fate, took courageous much more so than someone playing the ‘hero.’ She held no value to herself and why would anyone place any value in her? It was a foolish thing and now she was tired of these foolish games. Leaping from her boulder, long limbs allowed her to propel forward to close the distance from her and the young wolf. Massive form would shove into him as she quickly maneuvered herself above him, her pounce successful as she stayed on top of him, her face going near his own as her jaws snapped above his head as a warning. Those haunting azure pools glared down at his own her voice held a warning grave warning tone, one that he should listen to carefully, as her face was shoved closely into his own.

“Because you carry her scent you get to live, just this once, now leave me alone, or I’ll give Tobias a reason to come…as we eat your flesh.”

She would press one paw into his chest forcing his frame into the ground for a few moments as if to make her point clear. That he wanted to ask more questions or figure out if Tobias could speak or not was completely ignored. If he wanted additional information the he would have to go about and ask every wolf about the demon that haunted these lands. With her point given she brought her paw off his chest and walked away from him, sauntering away through the fields, allowing the shadows to shroud her. There was a reason why she felt she was obligated not to answer his question about whether or not Tobias could speak, or anything else in regards to her imprint, and she did not realize that the feeling she felt was out of what she always considered a false sense of trust – loyalty. Loyalty, it would seem, could be felt even by such a lonely deplorable monster.
