Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Heaven Help Me
Lowering my nose to the ground, I snuffled through the undergrowth, trying to pick up an at least semi-fresh scent. If I could find a pack wolf maybe they could turn me in the right direction to head back to the valley or meet up with Amoxtli. All I was rewarded with were half stale trails and the slush like substance that the sun was slowly turning the snow into. My ears flicked to and fro, listening for other wolves moving through the woods. Finally they swiveled backwards and caught the motion of someone that was not me. Eager to speak with just about anyone I could possibly come across, I swung around and my green eyes searched the landscape.

Just as I spun around she came from behind a nearby bush and my eyes grew wide as she skidded in the half melted snow, stopping just short of colliding with me. Instinctively I drew backwards, much the same as she had, ears drawing back in surprise. Somehow in those moments I went almost cross eyed as I noticed a bit of slush on top of my nose. The whisper of her nose against mine caused me to blink all too hard and an unbidden sneeze seized me. I shook my head and the bit of snowmelt flung off my nose as I did my best to regain my composure as she sputtered half a dozen rushed words at me. The half moon markings around my eyes lifted slightly at her words.

Pardon me, miss. I do hope I’ve not, well, sneezed all over ya. Fair bit of rude way to meet a young lady.” My ears pulled back momentarily in an apologetic manner that I only just realized matched her own. Of course then my mind caught up with me to piece together the rushed words she’d only just stated herself. Flicking my ears forward now I almost stepped forward but stopped mid-step, my forepaw tracing circles in the snow as if that had been all I’d intended to do in the first place. “Dontchu worry ‘bout me, I’m jus fine.” A small half grin gave me a slightly lopsided look, though my head then tilted in the opposite direction and I probably looked altogether rather sideways.

Placing my paw firmly back upon the ground I blinked a couple times, unsure what to say next. Then realization came rushing back to me and I remembered what it was that I was doing here in the first place. “Gosh, my manners t’day - I’m Mikken." I paused for a moment, not wanting to seem like I didn't want to be around her, cause I did, but I was here for a reason, too. "Say, I been lookin for a mate a’mine and I can’t seem to find him, d’ya think you could point me in the right direction? His name’s Amoxtli.” I sure hoped she could help me out. Surely if she lived here in this odd pack land she’d be able to show me around.
