Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Grayson had taken her hunting not too long ago. It had went flawlessly despite her not having hunted deer before. All it took was reading his body signals and as a healer, Ravenna had that down pat, and she had done all she could to impress him even when she scowled at him constantly. So much work for a deer. It flew across the earth like on wings! Yet she had been quite smug when her maw had grabbed it's small hindquarter and basically twisted it around and threw it at his feet. Grayson had finished it off, of course, and she had spat out hairs with a distasteful look on her maw until he had ripped it open. Then the heady scent of fresh blood and meat had sent her into a frenzy, tearing into the underbelly and fairly shoving him out of the way (until he shoved back) to eat the tender entrails. It was.. bland compared to her usual fare, which had a salty taste that she had grown much accustomed to, but good all the same. Filling.

Not that she had told him that. She had just shrugged and asked what was so special about it. Then they had went about their day as usual. The more he healed - and he was fully healed now - the more he seemed to want to do things his way. It was a hard adjustment for Ravenna who was quite selfish, but she accommodated him sometimes. This morning she had been up bright and early searching for herbs and roots for poultices but as soon as her belly grew taut with hunger she had trotted back to the den where Grayson slept, slipped in, and planted on large paw on his shoulder and pushed. "Get up! Let's go hunt one of those deer again." It wasn't much of a statement but hell, she was offering to help him hunt the land animals. REAL food.

As she steps out from the den to wait on him impatiently the sound of a nearby bark catches her attention and her ears prick forward. The sound is familiar, someone calling for her and she jerks her neck around to peer in the den again. "Come on Grayson, someone is calling me. You are going to come with me this time so you don't run off, cause once I'm done with them I want to hunt. Let's get one bigger this time." She said it as if it was so easy to get one, although maybe it was compliment at his own abilities.

The moment he pops out of the den she takes off at a lope, glancing back with a stern look to make sure he was following (however unwillingly) until she crosses a few deer paths and then breaks towards the border whereupon she spies the white figure of Natu, answering her with a suddenly happy bark as she races forward to press her white chest into the much daintier neck of her aunt...
