Time is running free and I feel like letting go
Home…
It was strange to think that of the forest, that this was home, the place where he belonged after having wandered for so many years before returning to Moladion. He never thought he would have thought that of these new lands. Diveen, or Taviora, or whatever these crazy names were nowadays. Trenus forever would be his first home but Taviora was about as good as home as it got anymore. It was where he had his first family, where, he hoped, his children still remained. He felt horrible for leaving them, Zeteri had wandered off and he still never understood why. One of his children followed, Luk, but the others…. They all remained hopefully waiting and hopefully not angry for the choices he had made.
He wanted things to work, he really did. It was impossible though, he was left hurt and a bit angry walking back home and again with his only perfect child in toe back towards the forest where he was born. A lot had happened in his year long absence from Moladion. He tried and tried to convince her to come back, not sure what mission she was on but he followed regardless leaving Tuari, his oldest child and only daughter to hold the pieces while he was gone… A whole year of Jinan, Yoska and Tuari’s life he had missed… He was sure they had grown, much like the black, white and gold boy that moved alongside him probably not to happy himself. He was sorry he had to be there for that, be there when finally he had to tell Zeteri he couldn’t follow her anymore, he couldn’t stay with her… He wanted his kids more than her tail and he never thought he would say that but hell, maybe he was less like his father than he thought he was.
Home though was in sight, hopefully home would be the balm to his sore pride and wounds and his children the bandages that would piece him back together and perhaps even bring him back to his former self but, Luk… He looked to his son, he wasn’t sure why he followed, perhaps he missed his siblings too… Amutaq wasn’t sure why he also had followed them into the wilds of the other lands. To learn? Because his siblings were a burden? He didn’t know, he just hoped he wasn’t to angry. Still the nearly fully black pelted male couldn’t let his son’s anger hold him back. He had more than him to think about, he had his siblings too care for and finish raising… at least he had Jinan and Luk to finish… he had to remind himself that Tuari and Yoska would be adults soon as Spring rolled around and that would be soon based on the warmer temperatures and the melting snow and urges also vanishing. Really his legs were crossed now, no more… no matter how… tempted he might be he found out he was a fertile creature and he cared far too much about the ones he had to well… have more.
They had been through a lot, his little family, and he was going to do his best to pull them back together. Maybe he would take them to meet their Aunt and other family at some point, he was sure they would like that… Maybe. For now his white toes touched the borders of Taviora, with its overly kind King’s scent still thick he didn’t hesitate to cross back in and start making his way towards the den he hoped was still occupied by his family.
Please still be here… Please be okay…
It was all he had now.
