Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

As I fell to the Ocean floor
Fading light through an open door
Saw myself rise with the water

He was still on the fence on where he should go. Spirane had his father, but Glorall was his home. His sister was still there too and that weighed heavily on where he thought he should go. He just didn’t think he quite fit in with Spirane. While he was a proud brute he liked his fun and games and perhaps it wasn’t an entirely good fit for the type of shenanigans he might like to participate in. He didn’t know much about Glorall or how it was now, but he did know he liked the land and heaven knew his sister could use a bit of back up now and then. Perhaps she didn’t but he thought she did. The slate colored boy certainly knew he could take care of himself and she herself, but who would be there to keep others from putting their grubby little unworthy paws all over her. He wondered where Mana had gone too with that thought, if perhaps maybe she was still around there, or maybe she wasn’t. She probably was still clinging to their mothers he imagined, surprising really that the little crack of lightning would be the one still holding on to their parents.

Maybe Los would have too, but instead he chose to explore the wilds a bit, take some time to explore and see what was out there. Nothing too amazing, he concluded. Moladion at least had interesting wolves to talk to and fight with amongst other oddities he would find interesting. That being imprints, the packs, just everything seemed to have some form of tug or pull he enjoyed watching. The crashing of Glorall and Asteraia proved to be interesting, and perhaps watching something that was torn to the ground rebuilding could be interesting. He would think more on it though, joining Glorall would just be one choice he could make and in all honesty he wouldn’t mind talking about or exploring a few more options. Though he certainly would at least drop in to see how Alcmene was doing and also seeing where Mana had gotten to as well.

However he forgot a little factor that might play a role in his decision making. One that was reminded by the premonitory scent that crossed him. Not long after he heard the excited call of a fairly familiar voice and the tall tricolored male turned to look at his Sire and the wolf that he took so much after. His tail gave a few genunine waves, he was always pleased to see him after all. Sleekwing was his father after all, the only other male in his life and it certainly was important Los to get to see him every once in a while. His family might not have been very conventional, but he was happy with it. His two Mothers and his father, they all just somehow worked, albeit oddly.

”Father, it is good to see you doing well.” He never seen his father leave the mountain and to be honest he was a bit worried something had gone wrong there, that or something was wrong with his Mom. He was told Imprint bonding was a strange thing, and that they were keen to feelings and things the other was not. His Mother loathed the bond but his Mom didn’t seem to mind so much, at the very least, while not lovers his Mom really valued the friendship she and his father shared. His face was rather flat though, his tailed showed his pleasure but friendly, happy smiles were rare for Los and far between.

”I am fine, Mother and Mom taught me well to care for myself and rely on no others. I left Glorall for now, but Alcmene is still there so I might go back, I have no idea where Mana or Mom are though, but I am sure they are fine. Mana was raised like I was and Mom is very tough herself. I was thinking maybe she went back to Diveen.” He said in reply to all of his father’s questions. ”You do not feel anything wrong with Mom, do you?” he asked as if it was some perfect science that his father could detect such changes, but it didn’t hurt to ask him.

”It is nice, and fortunate of us to meet today. I have grown a lot since I last saw you in the mountains.” He states, not really sure what to say. What types of conversations do you have with your Father that you don’t know much about? It didn’t help Los wasn’t the best at this sort of thing to begin with, but he would try.

They thought they could keep me down,
Hold their breath and watch me drown,
but all they did has pushed me higher.
