She had followed the scent. It had taken her some time, but she had found it and stuck to it, like blue is stuck to the very sky. She knew the scent that lingered on his dead son's body. There were two scents but one was much stronger, so much stronger and it clung to the brain of the fire-touched woman.
She was not alone on this evening. It had grown dark, and the sun dare not rise again for a while. The shadow that she normally followed was with her on this night growing dark. Although she typically followed the beast where he commanded, Flare had given him a tell. She had locked on a scent, identified her prey, and followed it without wavering. It was a simple sign for the black demon with his slithering green eyes, easy enough for him to know that the woman was hot on the trail and determined with the way she held herself.
The duo was not alone though. With them, was another female who had followed. Flare did not understand why the female was with them, not exactly, but she did understand that the dark shadow commanded and Flare followed, the same must apply for the other female he was with. Flare was mostly indifferent to the presence of the female at this moment, especially now. Her amber eyes flecked with molten gold would only rest on the female for a moment before going on with her hunt. As long as the female did not invade her space, she was fine. She would observe her and learn more about the dark woman, the other shadow to her shadow, as time went on.
So for now on this growing night, the fem let his lithe form tread to the edge of the forest. The scent of pack was becoming strong as she approached, and she paused for a moment. She looked into the forest, eyes looking into it as the moon began to glow upon them all. She did not know what the wolf looked like, she only knew his scent. With the twitch of an ear, she sniffed once more, long delicate limbs carrying her form to where the scent of the wolf she hunted became thicker. Her teeth twitch out of her lips, her flame licked eyes narrowed with the black that surrounds them.
She looks to the two darkened wolves, only for a moment as she turns and enters into where the trees grow more dense. There appeared to be no one in the immediate area on the edge of where the scents got thick, but she knew the one who was on the dead body of her son was within these lands, hiding among the trees just as her sons body was buried among trees. She was alert, her movements skilled as a lone huntress should be, but she was not just any lone huntress. She had hunted by the side of Tobias for many moons, and she was not to be toyed with. She knew the power of the blackened male, and she would soon learn of the other female with them would make another good set of teeth.
