Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

It was blissful to have him back with her. She felt safe and secure with Lucero around her. Her worries placed upon Yoska were still needed, after all the two of them had gained a bond from their meeting, a simple friendship in its purest form. The deaf boy had been a boon for her while her Lucero grieved but things were slowly getting better just as her stomach grew rounder and rounder. Her mother and father insisted she was ‘glowing’ but really she just felt fat and uncomfortable most of the time. A walk she thought would help with that, or at the very least would get rid of some of that fat feeling or settle the pups that were within her. They kicked whenever she held still too long, even in sleep it was like they didn’t wish for her to hold still. She remembered the days when she was full of energy her father taking her on border patrols and by the end of them being exhausted and while she doubted it would work on her unborn children she figured anything to make some of the discomfort go away. So she and her knight walked into the woodlands.

She didn’t think fate would interfere with her walk, or give her yet another blessing to her life. She simply was enjoying the spring morning, not alone, yet alone for the moment with Lucero having wandered a bit away from her. She didn’t mind, she could scent him off not all that far away. Her children too, she could feel them wriggling around inside of her, she knew soon she would get to see them and it was both gratifying and terrifying. She didn’t know much about parenting, and she never had little siblings to take care of, but so far it seemed everyone kept telling her tat instinct would lead her right. Instinct. Well she had some good ones she thought but still ike many other things she thought she had much to learn. Healing for instance. She knew Lucero insisted it wasn’t her fault for having failed to have properly taking care of his mother so that she could survive, but she felt some underlying guilt she couldn’t shake. However there was little time for her to dwell on her guilt. Lucero’s call for her jolted her out of her thoughts and some worry tinged her mind for him instead.

She began to run, well waddle, as quickly as she could towards him. Her white legs carrying her as quickly as they could carry her towards his call. Nothing was wrong, it was simply her over reacting she tried to assure herself as she drew closer to him. When her eyes found her crimson knight she stopped eyes wide as they first spotted the fallen female before him. Her heart raced as she neared him, not sure she could help the female. She looked like she had pups but she was far too skinny and she couldn’t tell what Lucero was doing. A soft whine came from her maw as she approached slowly knowing again she was likely to late to help or save the female who already smelled of blood and death. She moved forward tentatively to see what it was that her knight was huddled around. It was then she heard her, and then saw her. Her heart nearly melted at the sight of him cleaning her so diligently and be it instinct or simply her own family’s kindness she clung to the child instantly.

Lowering her head to both Lucero and the child’s own she placed her nose upon her marked brow while brushing upon his own head. Before pulling away her fiery gaze setting on the female who passed leaving herself and her child unnamed. ”We… should put her to rest and bring her home.” She said in barely a whisper. Burry her mother, then give her a home. Surely two things to put the unnamed female’s soul to peace knowing her child was taken care of and her own being not forgotten and put to rest respectfully. She could tell the child was young, her eyes still not opening and her ears likely weren’t fully unplugged either. Still pretty much fully blind and deaf the child needed a mother and despite the reserves she had they melted away with the assuredly that the child would have a good home with her and Lucero, she would be as blood, like Suomi was to her and her father.
