The world was an evil, evil thing. She didn’t know how she was going to get through this, to be honest. How was she going to put up with labor if she was this goddamned miserable just being pregnant?! It was all that damned Eden’s fault. These were his wretched spawn. She couldn’t wait until the day was here when they would be gone of her body. But then, she still had to raise them. Crap. Why did she get stuck with the short end of the stick here? He had the easy job. Damnit. She felt like whimpering, to be honest, it was killing her how bad she was hurting. She hung her head, her breathing shallow and quick. The lass was counting down the days until they’d be here. It had to be any day now, to be honest.
The sound of grass moving caught her attention, and she lifted her gold-grey eyes, taking in the sight of the earth-toned male that was walking her way. He was slightly larger than her, but for once, she was glad to see she was not the only small wolf in Moladion. She let her eyes stray to his face, taking in his mixed eyes. He seemed kind enough. His words reached out and she couldn’t help but smile. His way of speaking was different, but it was a welcome different. “I’m…Okay I suppose. As okay as I can be. How about you? How’s the day treating you so far?” She smiled softly, trying to shift her weight, unable to stop the wince of pain that shot through her side.
She really could not wait until these days were over and done with. She let out a low breath, trying to deal with the uncomfortable pain that shot with every movement she made.
