The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

Pain. That was what her life had become. The healer in Saw Tooth, whose name Halina hardly remembered as she had been hallucinating for most of her time there, had saved her life - that was true. But she was far from healed. The damage that the poison had done to her system was irreversible, with only time as the only way to heal. Thus all of her joints were inflammed, and many of her vessels were likely leaky now. All of her skin was covered in bruises and her flesh was swollen. Each movement, no matter how minute, was a dull yet strong pain. A part of her desired to simply stay within her den and hide from the world while her body recovered. To hide from the stares of others at her abhorrent swollen body... at her wrecked leg that showed a gaping wound, the result of the necrosis that had followed. To prevent more pain than was necessarily... though even with her lying still she had pain as her full weight was on her ventrum or her side, depending on how she was lying upon the ground. But there were three things that kept her out of her den, moving through the territory slowly but steadily.

Pain - it was now a relative term. When the poison had reached her nerves, it had been like nothing she had ever experienced, a utterly complete agony that was continuous and from which there was no reprieve. In comparison, what she was now suffering was minimal, and the eboness was likely to never react to pain the same again... for nothing could ever pain her as the poison had.

Logic. The healer... yes, she now remembered, her name had been Kahlan... the healer said that movement would hasten her healing as it would increase her circulation and help clear the bruises that would form. That and bathing in cool water to decrease the inflammation that was still ongoing. This was what brought her to the cold stream in which she now entered, each paw stepping in tenderly, the cold shocking her in a refreshing manner and she purred in relief, imagining all of the inflammation seeping from her damaged flesh.

Stubborn anger. She had, in her childhood sought to hide from her peers from a sense of fear and shame. But now it was a stubborn anger. Anger that she had ever allowed Draven to live - sure, she had scarred and injured him completely, tearing part of his ear clear off. But he had come back with a vengeance and wounded not just her but Kershov as well. Luckily his body had not been as severely affected as Halina's had been and already he was already almost completely mended... but it was still Halina's fault. He had been punished already for this transgression... and would continue to be punished likely for a long while still. But she would not allow him to affect her life as he once had. She focused on the anger, rather than the pain. She focused on it rather than the fear. She focused on it until all that remained of her soul was a seething anger that kept her going and energized.

Most of her thoughts not focused upon the future - not only how she would punish Draven but how she would make it up to the Ice King as he had also been injured. Thoughts and people from before the attack were hardly present in her mind, such as Ygritte and Ace. The pup had run from her swiftly, abandoning her promises of a home. The ess could not fathom why suddenly the pup was on her mind as she wandered toward the dark caverns to comfort her dark thoughts, until she realized that it was the pup's scent under her nares that was leading her trajectory. Her stride paused, now hesitant. For starters, her current state of swollen and edematous tissue was likely to frighten the child... but also... he had fled from her before. Why would he want her to be near him now? Shaking her head, but groaning with the effort, she continued on, and into the cavern. "Ace?"
