News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

i have never been
nothing

There was much to consider here, given my pack's former ties with Glorall, and my personal relationship with Tesseract and his family. I had first met the former Potentate when I was but two years of age. He had newly gained his seat, after having faced defeat at my father's paws, and sought an alliance with a pack who's leader he respected. I had learned a lot that day, about the way the world worked, for my many assumptions about the situation had been proven wrong. In the years that followed Tesseract had proved a dependable ally, even aiding in my training after my parents' demise. He had never taken up a affiliation with Purge - not that she'd ruled long enough to warrant any relationships to be formed - but could I spurn him and his family now by aligning with Eden in any way? Then again, could I put my amity with Tesseract before the best interests of my pack? It was hardly a question to be asked, for my pack was my family and to me, family was the most important thing. Still, I felt a deep rooted need to find out what had become of Tesseract before I set anything in stone.

I appreciated Haziel's conduct in such affairs. I nodded at his words about Eden's strong and maybe ruthless nature, a motion made out of habit before I realized that he could not see such a thing and thus it was a worthless action. Still, I listened raptly, noting the comment about those faithful to Tesseract no longer being welcome. His opinions given were accompanied with reason, and I found myself quite grateful that it had been this wolf who had come forth for such discussions. Not all wolves had a mind for such frankness, and it certainly aided in my considerations on how to go about handling the change of powers in the seaside pack. It was his last comment, about Iblis, that caused my brows to raise in a subtle show of surprise; an action, once more, that was lost upon Haziel. "I see," I commented, hoping to convey my interest in the words he had chosen to share. He finished on a note that it would perhaps be best for me to meet Eden myself so as to form my own opinions.

"Thank you for that, Haziel," I said. "I should like to meet Eden myself. With Spring so close at hand I must stay close to home for those that will bring the mountain's next generation into the world. Perhaps you could bring word to Eden that I plan to make a visit in the later months of spring." I trusted that Ceal could look after each of the four mothers who were to give birth, and that Sleekwing and those of the armament would protect and feed them, but it was still my duty to ensure their wellbeing. "I will, most likely, be accompanied by my Bloodrider, so if Eden sees fit you are most welcome to join in our discussions as well." Jericho had told me that he had friends who lived along the south eastern shores, and so I had a feeling that he would want to come with me to see about this new alpha himself.

A meeting set for later in the season would also perhaps give me a chance to seek out Tesseract, or someone who knew what had happened to him in the aftermath of the fight. All would fall into place in due time. My weight shifted lightly in the snow, feeling that our conversation was coming to its end. "Is there anything else I can help you with, Haziel?" I did not say as much to hasten his departure, rather curious if diplomatic matters were the heart of the reason for his visit. If he had once called Asteraia home, then perhaps he wondered after some of its population that had chosen to migrate here.
