Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I will be heard

There is a part of me that is so glad that Solaris did not...dislike me for what has happened. He has accepted me from the start, and that is why I stick by him like a shadow even still. I smiled as he grew fluffy by getting the water off of him. I did not have the same fate. My dark black fur as sleek and smooth, and never really puffed up. The water that did splash upon her only gave her raven fur more of a sheen. I followed my white friend, sticking close as he leads towards the way of Glorall. I still...remember what caused my sudden outburst, how I felt the eyes of Lillith staring back at me, not my own. It was an...horrifying though really. I had to simply take my mind off of it, a repetitive thought cycling in my head as I count the hairs on Solaris as we make our way to Glorall. I do not always look where I am going, but Solaris leads, strong and large, so I need not always focus my eyes on the path ahead.

The land began to change and my attentions began to become more alert as well. I know that Iromar is...near, and I dislike this fact. I find myself pressing closer to Solaris as we pass by it, even from a large distance. It is...not a place I want to go back to yet, knowing that so much blood was spilled. I must admit that Ruby would not mind venturing back, and she taunts me with that fact, forcing my yellow eyes to look in that direction and I whine as I feel I cannot control myself. The whine turns into a slight growl as I snap myself back, counting the longer hairs upon Solaris' neck in my mind again. Glorall was nearing now, and I need not worry about the land that the snake Eden holds now? He and Solaris are close, and I know that Solaris would not lead me to Eden recklessly...although I know last time, I felt the urge to test Eden's soul for capture.

I come to rest besides Solaris, my now lowering to sniff the ground. The scent of the land is very different. More wet, like Iromar, yet...not like Iromar at all. It was an odd smell, and my nose twitched as I lifted my crimson-touched cheeks to look upon my light, my Solaris, as we now wait upon the border.

I know when Eden approaches I will stand still, staring him down with my yellow eyes even as Solaris does greet him. I am...suspicious of Eden, always have been and always will be. In fact, my mind focuses on it in this moment. I find I hold the same stare as I did before, a piercing one like burning yellow suns, which feels like forever and yet so quick until I hear Solaris say my name, my head lifting slightly more with my ears flickering forward. I hear that he is...fond of me. I have not heard such words from him, and I find my eyes softening with a blink as I lope forward next to his side once more. I look up to him and only him, a smile most genuine on my face, before I turn my dark visage back to Eden, my eyes hardening almost immediately once more.

"Eden," I say in a simple, straightforward, and slightly terse manner. I had nothing to say to him quite yet, but my mind keeps ticking and churning, ready to pounce on him if he dare slither with his mouth.
