Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

you are the light, to my soul
you are my purpose, you're everything
Once again is the child awakened by the light of morning filtering within the den entrance, the slight warmth caressing her face as pale green eyes lazily blink open. A wide yawn taking her jaws as her head is lifted from the comforts of the den floor. Ears turn and flicker at the nesting sounds of her newest siblings as she is quick to glance in their direction a sweet smile on her lips as she rises. A quick shake of her body is given, hoping it would further dull the sense of sleepiness still lingering in her body. Hoping she had been quite enough not to wake anyone within. A first step is taken before she pauses and looks back out of instinct, only to find a bright pair of orange eyes meeting her own pale green. Mommy. The slight wiggle in her hips and sway of her tail as her ears lace back. A quick flick of her pink tongue in the air as if blowing a kiss to her mother as gentle whispered words break. "Good morning mommy." Pausing briefly, before adding. "I'm meeting Hazie today, we start my lessons." It was no secret of what the child desired to learn and just what she wanted to become when she was older and beginning that journey is something she had looked forward to for sometime. At the mention of Haziel does she see the slight toothy grin from her mommy, knowing the odd bond the two shared when he had saved her mother from perishing at their birth. Haziel was safe, had always been that way and even though the two did not see eye to eye on most, he was well trusted by her mommy. With a nod of her head both acknowledging her statement and sending her on her way, for the excitement the child was experiencing could very well be seen through her body language. With a warm smile and perhaps another blown kiss the child steps out of the den and into the light.

The beauty of the world never failed to awe the child. Pale green eyes admiring everything around her as she began her journey down the mountain towards the riverside. The warmth of the rising sun felt like a comforting embrace. It seemed with every new day, the more she seen, the more the child loved the world around her. The mountains were something extraordinary, they were not flat like the plains but rose and fell, with trees, with rocks, it was almost like an entire new world. She had experienced it with Camilla, exploring the peaks. Along with Jackson and the princes and still yet there was so much more to be seen. It was as if it was never ending. Even though she had taken this same path once before to the riverside when they had first arrived, she cannot help but still linger on everything around her. A warm smile on her lips, as ears flicker; listening to the life surrounding her. It is when she comes to the border that announces either the end of beginning of the territory do pale eyes fixate on a flutter of wings near her. A bush that smelled sweet and a butterfly that seemed to enjoy it very happily. She is brief in watching it, knowing that perhaps Hazie was already waiting and she did not want to be rude and arrive late. So with one last glance she turns to looks at the riverside in the distance, a happy grin on her lips and her tail swayed back and forth. Excitement spilling over as the desire to get there quicker grows, until her heart soon pounds along with her feet as she breaks in a run among the grasses that was between her and the river.

At the sounds of the moving water does her speed begin to slow until she comes to a stop by the rivers edge, pale eyes looking down at the rippled reflection staring back on the waters surface. Once more she had changed since last looking upon it, despite her fragile size she was growing more and more. But today she would not linger on such, she had far more important tasks to be done as she soon turns and walks along the rivers edge, while pale green eyes sought the dark form of her teacher and friend. It is not long until she spots him, walking through the grasses. Feet are quick to shift her body and send her towards him as best they can with the movement from above, for already was her body wiggling, hips swaying at the force of her tail. "Hazie!" Soothing tones call out, "Good morning." She adds slightly after. Closing the distance between them until she is standing before him. For no longer can she wind herself between his legs like she had done as a pup but that does not stop her from offering a brief touch of her muzzle into the plush of his chest. A slight compromise that was equally rewarding. "Thank you so much for this.. I'm ready whenever you are.." She softly exclaims as she pulls back, trying so very hard to contain her excitement and prove she was more the ready to begin today. Since he had agreed she had thought of nothing else. Today she was his student and she would try her very best at anything he would require of her.
