35th Annual Worth/USSSA Memorial Tournament
IP: 76.243.37.193

We are now a mere two weeks out from the 35th Annual Worht/USSSA/Ohio USSSA :Memorial" Tournament.

Held each Memorial Day weekend, this event is a 7-game format (5 games of RR on Saturday, 23 May...seeding into a Sunday double elimination format for all teams) and welcomes men's D & E teams.

On a per game basis, this is the "Best Value in Softball" and our facilities are easy to reach here in S.W. Ohio, where I-70 and I-75 converge.

We are disappointed to announce that this year's Mixed Couples/Co-Ed portion has not drawn sufficient teams to get off the ground.

The event will honor ten former softballers who have passed on, some after a lifetime of involvement in the game, but some others due to sudden illness or other tragic circumstances. Ceremonies for these softballers are held at our four facilities: Davey Moore Park in Springfield (10am); Armco Park in Lebanon (noon); Kettering Field in Dayton (1:30pm), and Flanagan Park in Sidney (3pm).

Honorees here in Dayton include, Gary "Turtle" Cole, Butch Kieninger, and Bryan Miller. In Springfield, we will be remembering Dan and Kevin Tuttle and Don Houseman. In Sidney, we will honor Mark Wisemen. And, at Armco park, we remember Tony Haag, Len Wainscott, and Jack Haley. Family and friends are all encouraged to attend for these free ceremonies.

We have an extensive prize package and plans are for new State Director, Brian Wegman, to be attending and helping at all ceremonies at all facilities.

We currently have 48 teams entered, and must cut the event off at 60 teams. Some facilities are already full, while others have openings...and the sooner we receive your entry, the better your chance of securing your facility of choice.
