I'm coming home....

Braylen

stallion | 15.1hh | palomino tovero | keeper of paradise

Braylen was standing among several palm trees when the first trickle of her sweet perfume reached his nose. Opening his blue eyes, he raised his head from where it had been hanging even with his withers and cupped his ears forward as he looked out onto the beach. The glare of the sun setting on the water made him squint his eyes to see, but he spotted nothing on the sandy shore. With a snort, the stallion shifted his weight so that his hind leg was no longer resting and it also roused the sleeping colt tucked on the ground at his front hooves. Zain blinked open his eyes and raised his head to look around sleepily. His growing tail swished a few times before he laid his head back down; the colored colt sprawled on his side lazily with the protection of his father hanging over him. Reaching down, Braylen lipped at the boy's skin along his neck and even went as far to tug the lengthening mane. Zain pinned his ears irritated by his father's silent requests and with that, Braylen gave a sharp nip to Zain's shoulder. With an indignant soft squeal, Zain huffed and got up onto his hooves and shook away the sand. Now that he was up, Braylen walked around him and further out onto the shore.

By now, Zain had begun to pick up his Mother's scent since he was more awake and his heart began to beat faster with excitement just as his father's did. Tail slightly flagged he pranced out beside his father and looked one way down the shoreline as Braylen looked the other. Finally, Braylen spotted the mare and he bellowed out a call to her. Relief, excitement, concern and even anger flooded through the stallion while the colt only felt the pure adrenaline of excitement at his dam's appearance. Stepping out into a long strided trot, Braylen began to make his way along the sandy beach to Isobel. Zain was not so patience and the boy bolted passed his father. Growing legs sped down the beach as quickly as they could carry him until he skidded to a stop before his mother. Hind legs churned up the sand and his voiced raised into a happy cheer. "Mother your back!" he said happily, reaching forward to nuzzle and press himself against her shoulder.
