This pain was so unreal, it was so raw and interchanging, moving from one part of her body to another, it was stealing her breath in a way that she couldn’t think much anymore. She tried to concentrate on her breathing, and her senses turned on high to keep her ears tuned into the girls’ breathing. She didn’t know what would possibly make this go any easier, she didn’t really have any friends. Sure, Iscariot was a nice guy, but that had just been a friendly conversation. She didn’t have anyone who would make a good help during these next few days, and though she would never admit it, she was terrified of doing this all alone. She felt like she was losing her mind right now, trying to think of just how she would do this without losing her own life in the process of bringing these girls into the world.
The stench of the blood clouded her senses, for the most part, until Eden was almost to the mouth of the den, then she smelled. Him. She felt a growl rumbling deep in her chest, she lifted her head slowly, her teeth showing a little bit. Sure, she was ticked off, and she wanted to snap at him as he crawled into the den, it wasn’t any of his business. But knowing him, the low growl wouldn’t change his mind as he entered. She felt her hackles rise a bit as he nudged and nosed the pups, a soft rumbled in my chest was destined to warn him, not like it would really work, but she was trying here.
She stretched her nose out, touching the smaller of the pups as he finally stopped bugging her. She blew softly on the pup, her nose running against the child’s back. She eyed Eden as he nudged the larger, more lively pup. The smaller one squeaked a bit, and burrowed further into Renai’s soft fur. She kept her eyes on Eden as he examined the larger girl. Her ears turned when he spoke, some of it was strange, but she heard the name at the end, Eloah. She let out a rather impatient sigh, not very eager to share her space with him. For some reason, she always felt more stubborn around him, and she didn’t exactly know why either.
But then, he was gone, and his shadow was replaced by another, more feminine, her size was closer to Renai’s own size. She was quite unsure who this girl was, she smelled of Asteraia, but she was an unknown member to Renai. Renai watched her quietly, her eyes hooded. She still had her head slightly raised, not enough to fully get a look at the girl, but enough for now, she supposed.
A small groan came from her, the most she could manage to do at this point in time. Her eyes tracked the girl’s movements, watching her carefully, afraid to let too much show. But really, there wasn’t much that Renai could do to ignore the girl. She watched as she gathered a couple of things and dropped them before her face, she dropped her gaze to them then back to her face, trying to figure out if these really would help. She sighed before she lowered her head, hesitantly eating the stem and leaves that had been placed before her. She kept her eyes on the girl however, and tried to keep an eye on the mouth of the den, unsure where Eden had gone off too. She didn’t want to have to share the girls with him, but she would if she had too. Damnit to hell.
