Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

The family went in threes often enough, but Sabriel was not the same type of creature as his fathers or brother. He wondered if ever he would bother in the act of procreation again, because it took a lot for someone to look past his rather odd looks. Ethereal for a wolf, more like a wisp-spirit of a long dead wolf, perhaps. But he was real and alive, and his heart would continue to belong to Micteca even as he wandered. He hadn't been able to give this life up, though he had tried to do so. He had kept going, knowing he couldn't be all the things that Micteca needed from him. But it wasn't as if they had met up one day and spent time to fall in love like normal; they'd been set up as children and had grown to those feelings regardless.

The only pair to work out when it came to betrothals, and yet they had still drifted apart. Sabriel had been bound by duty to be there for Micteca and try to do what was asked of him, but in reality, if he'd had the smae choices as other wolves now, he would never have tried that route. He might never have been given a chance at all to know intimate things, given his looks. Yet he had his experiences and he treasured them. There had never been any pups from their pairings, but Sabriel didn't much mind that fact. Micteca was such a small thing, after all, and he was so tall. He couldn't imagine a litter between them being an easy one for her, so perhaps the barreness was a blessing.

He was a gypsy at heart and had been raised as such, and that was something he wanted to see back again. How to go about that part, he wasn't perfectly sure, but he could ask those that were loners as he passed them by, right? That was the plan, at least. And there was someone up ahead, and Sabriel walked along closer, hearing the question. Rainbow eyes blinked at the male -- the structure was different than many, so he has to wonder where it stemmed from -- and he sniffed the air curiously, catching that hint of Dimitri hidden in the male's scent. Well, that explained it. He allowed a smile to the male. "Not really sure. Sorta drifting back in recently. Trying to put together another gypsy tribe. Your father was one of them for awhile, if my nose is correct in it being Dimitri, my brother." He pointed these things out calmly enough, tail swaying behind him.
