The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Solitaire doesn't rightly know if he needed a pack, but he wanted one, wanted his birthplace to be where he lived. He wanted to be near what little family he had left, be there for them and have them there for him in return. For now he felt he could only really trust Tristan in that way, but maybe Covet would be around as well. Solitaire wasn't sure about their older half-sibling to be honest, but aside from not joining Glorall, there seemed to be nothing to be held against the male. Covet had come to see them, after all. That had to mean something; that he cared in some way, right? So although Solitaire had some reservations, he at least had two brothers to be there for.

He only wished that Viora wasn't so bitter and clinging to her need to blame for things that had happened in the past, but there was nothing to be done for that. He could only let her know he would be there for her if she needed, and that he didn't buy her bullshit. Two important things he needed her to know, and that was for her to decide how to handle. Solitaire could be happy, and he wouldn't let her problems sully that. Weird, in the fact that she was the only female to whom he acted in such a manner, but she had pushed first. He was going to embrace his home despite the past, and ensure that he was a worthwhile part of the pack. Doing something that mattered.

Malleah was laughing at him, his reaction, but Solitaire did not find it funny. His past did not allow him to find amusement within her teasing, and he looks away from her as she carries on about it. She couldn't help it, she says, and Solitaire stares down at his front paws quietly. He did hear her speak again and nodded. "When I was a pup and stolen away from my parents, those that took me forced me to be a toy and a lure for females, and it does not leave me without internal scars." His voice was soft, and he peered at her for a moment. Then he grabbed his log of moss and started to turn around and away from her, moving towards the tunnel areas that would lead him out of this place.
