Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

It wasn't a bad day as far as the weather went, and nothing bad had happened yet, so it was looking up thus far. The only thing was the mere fact that Riot was probably tempting fate on that going bad thing, by wanting to speak to any young wolves, since he didn't really get them to begin with. Yet if he was careful and polite, perhaps it wouldn't go too badly. He couldn't be sure, but he could adapt if need be to get more information on the entire thing. Mostly about Spirane, maybe about the princess there in the mindset of another youngling. It was possible, and it could give him some insight on what he felt he needed to know. What was the basis of everything he was doing here, wasn't it? Staying here so close to Spirane in hopes that he would see a youngster come on by had worked pretty well, though he was wondering if this was a good idea...

But it was too late to have second thoughts now, because the younger wolf had come closer, and he had asked his question, so she was bound to answer and thus would start their coversation. Right? That was how he saw it going, but in what direction he wouldn't know. He understood they liked to play around, but.. Everything else he needed some more information on. Carrying around sticks, check. What for, Riot does not know, but he was willing to hang around for now to learn as to why, if any hints were to reveal themselves. The youngling was happy enough, so that was another good thing in his favor for today. Was he acting in the correct way to keep her attention? Riot had to ponder this over for a few seconds, remembering that the last conversation with a younger wolf had been about business in a way, but it had gone all wrong. Maybe that was why.

Either way, this female was answering without any hesitation to his question, and he had to blink at her excitement over something so simple as asking that kind of thing. But she was really hyped about her home, and obvious her den and it's high up location. That was something, but Riot was not sure how much it gave to him that would be useful later. Still, she had answered and Riot nodded along to her, wondering if that would entice her to continue speaking or not. Of course it turned more into her asking questions of him instead, on why he didn't live there and then rambling about Glorall and the smell of it's salt. Riot felt that this was going to be a strange conversation to keep having, but he went with it anyway. "I didn't get along with the princess there. I do not think she likes me." He stated evenly, wondering if that would get a comment from her, or hopefully some rambling that was helpful.

He was allowed to hope, right? He wanted to know more, and if it was just him with the problem with the other girl. Or just any information of the princess at all would be something, he supposed. But all he could do was wait, watch where Bastille's gaze went. Kind of all over the place, he thinks. But he is calm through it all, not wanting to lose his patience, but he feels that he's doing okay with that, because she didn't seem like a bad sort to him. Just all over the place cheerful. When she spoke up about standing around talking as being boring, Riot blinked, watching as she got up -- bounced up? -- and seemed to get playful. Or that was how Riot saw it. Energy abounded in that one for sure. But what the heck, right? Riot tried his best to do a dignified sort of wiggle, slapping his front paws on the ground in front of him. He simply wasn't one to play like this, so it probably looked quite funny.
