The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

you're just a puppet...

To say that the crimson-coated lad was unimpressed with the way the alphaship battle with Kanaya had gone would be an understatement. He was livid. His sour mood was directed in two directions: foremost, toward the lady he had faced, but more importantly, inward. His irratation with Kanaya stemmed from the fact that foolish mundane had dared to challenge an obvious better, wasting both of their time in the process. That, however, he was able to dismiss by smugly thinking of the reminder he had left the lass with. While Qui's form would have no scars from the battle, she would remember the price of it each time a being shied away from her ruined face. He smirked, pleased at the thought, before a turbulent expression took over his face as he examined his own performance in the melee. As he introspected, Qui came to the conclusion that he was disgusted by himself. He had broken one of his own rules of combat, allowing himself to underestimate the woman, and, as a direct consequence, had taken a hit that he could have avoided. Grimly, he promised himself an extra training regimen that would commence as soon as his damnable ribs healed up.

For now, however, getting back to the shadowed lands of Andere Seite was more of a concern. The Satanican lord needed to return to a safe place to recuperate from the fight, and, if possible, would like to have a minion catch food for him for a few weeks. That lead to the next question: did he even have minions? Andere Seite, the playground of demons, had grown absolutely silent since Cade's departure. Even Qui himself had only frequented the territory every moon, to ensure that it was not invaded by low-lives such as Madame Kanaya, breaker of ribs. As a social creature, fhe loneliness of his home was at times suffocating. If he dwelled on all that he had lost for too long, he could easily find himself morose, ensnared in the attractive trap that was self pity. To avoid said trap, he chose not to concern himself and continued on his way, moving slowly, but steadily, toward his empty homeland.

Upon reaching the border, he was not too surprised to note the scent of a newcomer begging enterance. What did surprise him was the scent a family member – an unknown one. He stiffened, nostrils flaring, and stalked into his lands, previously nonchalant, though alert, expression sharpening in a unique sort of hunger. He had noted this signature once before, after returning to the lands after a long time. At the time, the scent had been accompanied by another unknown, as well as that of Liquid, his great uncle. At that time, Qui had been too late to meet his relative. This time the other male would not be allowed to escape so easily. Bad mood forgotten, the red halted, raising his maw to the sky. From his throat he allowed a dominant, though not overly commanding, howl to issue, requesting the presence of his younger half-brother. Howl completed, Qui lowered his haunches to the earth, glad that he had taken the time to fix his appearance before returning to the lands. Although obviously injured, he did not appear overly damaged.
