Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Riot had no real thoughts on offspring of his own, because it wasn't something he was ready or interested in.He figured once he reached a certain height of ranks he might feel softer to the idea, but that felt like a far away thing, and then he'd have to find a female to do the heavy lifting part of it. Someone strong that would hand over good traits to those pups. Finding one of those would be just as difficult if not more than gaining a good rank in a pack he was happy to be a part of. Thus far he hadn't seen a whole lot of females that he would want in any aspect like that, and there was always the problem of them wanting love, and Riot could not be sure he was willing to offer that. Perhaps he would learn more affection once he found a suitable female, but until then he wasn't holding his breath or thinking too hard on it. He doubted he would be interested at all next Winter or the one after that, but he was young enough not to feel concerned. He had time to sort his business out.

Getting a pack he felt was worthy was the hard part for now. He also had to work his way up through the ranks, and that might take some time as well. Nothing Riot wasn't willing to do, of course. He was arrant in his seeking of knowledge, of what he needed to know. He would continue to make sure he knew all he needed before he finally took the plunge. He had felt almost sure that Spirane would be the place, but in going to speak to the alpha, he'd found a reason why that wasn't the right choice. It doesn't make him feel any better of the matter, but maybe it was better this way, for the place had been accumulating more wolves in little handful since he had decided not to go. Sometimes the larger a pack, the more the structure fell apart. That was often more true when gaining too many too fast as opposed to accepting them slowly, intergrating them fully and repeating the process. But Riot would watch and see; he had all the time in the world to wait.

He knew it was wolf blood that had been spilled, the death that called to the vultures. He knew it because even prey blood would not tempt him to a corpse in that way. But he always held himself back, always kept himself from taking part in that kind of lifestyle. Someone would find out, and that would be the end of things for him. He did not want to become one of the crazies and demented, and too many cannibals turned into that sort of creature. Riot told himself he would not be one of them, he would not be tempted. So he did not get too close to where the vultures circled, though he did notice a female walking from that spot with pups carried with her. Riot supposed it could have been any typical bloody birthing, but the smell was a little off, held the smell of another female's blood. The one that had caused him to want to see what the vultures were up to. Yet with knowing these things, he doesn't feel like he can form any one kind of opinion on the matter. It was not his concern what she was doing, and Riot was not one for oddball games.
