Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Covet wouldn't really know what the 'stupid things in life' were, exactly, and if the words had been spoken he would ask on what it meant, what those stupid things to fear were. Yet he knows that fear did not help him get through life, and so it was not needed. He couldn't say he was set apart from fear entirelly, but he liked to think there wasn't much left for him to fear anymore. He had his worries, his concerns, but he doesn't feel his own personal fear in any life altering way because of those things. There was a lot too far gone with him to give him those feelings.

He was concerned over Melek's fate, sure. He would protect her if he could from those that might try to destroy her for things that might not be specifically her fault. If his blood had caused her to kill, then she needed to be watched over if he could manage that. They had been dealt terrible hands in life, to be forced into this bloodlust, but there was little they could do but adjust and survive. Covet had gone on this long and would continue to do so until he was no longer fit to keep going. That was the way of the world, and he held to it for himself as he did for anyone else.

But he could suppose he also wanted a few things in life that others got to have, and if he was controlled enough to handle it, why should he refrain any longer? He was back to the place of his birth, and he knew his own limits. It made him rethink that perhaps he could have what was kept from him all those years back. He debates it on and off now, in these seconds that he has figured something out about himself, this situation. Life held no set path for him, and Covet needed to carve one out for himself this time. He needed to take some kind of stand, but where and how and when still had yet to be decided.

Covet doesn't get the whole angel or demon thing, but he knows what he had been labeled and by whom; that his actions weren't even a thought when the label came, but the fact that his habits had been also found out.. it was what it was, and he made no real excuses for what he was. But he didn't need to flaunt it, either. His gaze was drawn to the trout for a moment, then was pulled back to the female when she speaks. He smiles; a look that might not really make anyone feel better to see. "Perhaps." He responds evenly. "I think you are interesting, though luck is hard to assess in such a situation." He adds calmly, his eyes shifting away from her.
