Grudge Fest number one was the featured event at Lorain County Speedway on Saturday night May 23, 2015. The LCS Grand Nationals were in the spotlight as they took on the Street Stock divisons from other tracks in a twenty lap feature. In the Grand National prelimiary events Shaun Winters set the fast time in qualifying with a 16.278 lap. It would be Parker Ennes winning the Dash and the Heat Race.
In the twenty lap Grand National feature it would be fast and furious in the early laps. Brian Smith who started on the outside pole led briefly before Parker Ennes took command of the lead with Josh Way running in second. On the third lap it was Josh Way, making his first appearence of the season, with the lead. Way would lead until the caution flag waved on lap nine. On this restart it was three wide racing between Way, Ennes and now Shaun Winters who would take the lead.
Way gave chase to Winters for the remaining laps but Winters would open up a half straightaway lead enorute to the checkered flag. This would be Winters second Grand Nationals feature win in a row after his season debut here last week.
The Charger fifteen lap feature started off the second half of the evenings racing program. On the pole was Randy Lott and Austin Burkholder. The duo both had narrow leads before Burkholder took the point with three laps in. The caution flag was out with four laps scored. On the restart it was Burkholder and Brandon Halcomb making up the front row. Halcomb jumped into the lead followed by Dan Smith, Jim Harkins, Trent Aslaksen and Dylan Watson. The caution flag waved again with eight laps scored. On this restart it was Halcomb and Smith in the front row. Smith would take the lead and held on to take the checkered flag for his third Charger feature win of the season.
The winner of the Crate Sprint ten lap feature was Jeremie Wiggins who was also driving in the Modified feature tonight in his twenty fifth year of racing.
The Modified feature had Ronnie Souders lead from the pole followed by outside polesitter Nick Wiery. Running third was Norm Taylor followed by Terry Groner and Craig Philllips. Souders increased his lead as Wiery held second followed by Craig Phillips, Mike Lawson and Mike Lawson. At the halfway mark it was still Souders in command with Wiery second, C. Phillips, Lawson and Kenny Phillips now the top five running order. Souders, who has driven in the Main Event Racing Series Super Late Models, would go unchallenged for the remaining laps to take the checkered flag in this his first Modified feature win.
