The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

you're just a puppet

The Cavern of Secrets was hardly the most conventional place to hole up to be alone, but it suited the crimson coated lord's purposes just fine. The smooth expanse of Leisure Lake, the rugged, yet serene solitarity of Rainbow Cliff or even the isolated location of Sacred Stones may have been better, safer places to hide away, but there was something endlessly interesting about the deep, dark chambers of the Cavern, which was preceded by quite the deadly reputation. However, in his travels, Qui had found that the cave's denizens generally only attacked if they sensed weakness, which was a definite plus for the lad himself. Quirino was pleased to say (and truthfully so) that he rarely , if ever, gave off an aura of vulnerability. He was a large, blood-coloured wolf, with sinewy muscles built from years of running, fighting and training. That, paired with his predatory stance and dominant aura, naturally gave pause to any potential attackers, and tended to intimidate those with lesser wills. So, to the newly-crowned king of Andere Seite, the Cavern of Secrets was really quite a restful place to spend time.

Therefore, when he found himself wanting a quick jaunt away from his packlands, his large paws drew him almost inexorably toward the cheerless hell-hole. His lands were not too far away from the cavern, so not long after his desire for relaxation away from home manifested itself in physical action, he crossed the threshold of the place. Lately, the beast has been restricting himself to dog-trots and slow, careful lopes due to the nature of his chest wound, but his stamina is still high, so he makes good time nonetheless. He stands, at alert, in the vestibule, his flared nostrils filtering the scents of the wolves who had entered before. The air inside is fairly stale, so it is easy to pick up musks, even if they are several hours old, and follow the trails through the catacombs. A rakish grin crosses his face as the red decides to do just that. He stoops, muzzle lowering as he put his dark, wet nose closer to the stone floor, memorizing the scent that he will be following. There aren't too many odours to choose from, so he decides on a clean, unhurt and healthy male scent. Lifting his head, the elegant creature pads quietly through the shadowy place, intent on his prize. He decides with the faintest hint of amusement that if this creature pleases him, he will ask it to return with him to the pack. It was respectable, after all, for an alpha to gather underlings.

He was getting ahead of himself, of course. Perhaps the creature he met would be weak, or stupid, or even dead. The wolf had entered these parts quite a few minutes before the blood and snow regal, and plenty of dangerous folk lurked about. A lot could happen in a few minutes, indeed. Languidly, he strolled where the other had run, pausing to note that a denizen of the cavern, and not a healthy one, given her perfume, had also joined in on the game of following the lad. Qui doubted that the stricken she's intentions were as pure as his own, but couldn't bring himself to care overly much. He doubted that a wolf unable to defend themselves from the hidden darkness would chose to travel as deep as this varg had gone. Even so, he picked up his pace from a strolling walk to a gliding, near silent jog, allowing his pads to lightly caress the damp rock beneath them.

He slowed when the two scents grew nearer and fresher, now easily detected in the air. The female was close, very close, and the male had stopped progressing and now stood in one of the chambers, admiring the view, perhaps. Qui was still too far away to see them but halted, his ears were sensitive enough to pick up most sounds of movement. For a while, he heard nothing, until the sick femme made a wrong step, lightly knocking a pebble. The sounds faded, then a snarl was heard. Qui wondered what was occurring, and felt curiosity take over. Once again moving languidly, the Satanican traveled closer, turning around so he could actually see what was occurring before him.

The lady was a rangy looking creature, with long limbs and a near skeletal frame. Her eyes were glazed, but something within them appeared menacing. She was in the open now, where she must have moved after botching her stealth attempt, and was approaching the other wolf. Qui noted that this one was no more than a mere boy, a scrap of a teen. What was he doing here? He watched dispassionately as the mad ess drifted closer to her chosen target, her lips pulled back to reveal sharp canines that glistened with saliva. She spared a swift glance over her shoulder, toward Quirino, before ignoring him and springing at the boy, aiming to pin him to the cold floor. If she succeeded, she would stand over him, cackling and talking gibberish, for a long moment before leaning in close to place a long lick on the fur of his muzzle.

ooc: Imagine how boring a nice, normal thread would have been! (Not boring at all, likely XD) But now here is some excitement in the form of a convenient crazy wolf. <.< Qui is probably not enough of an asshole to let him get hurt if he can't fight of the other wolf, so don't worry. Also, I'd like to clarify that the random NPC doesn't have rabies, so bites and licks are not the end of the world, merely unpleasant.
