The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

He wandered the grotto for answers to his questions, but he takes note of the smell of blood and follows it before he realized that it was not only blood that he smells, but birth. Someone had given birth in here not long ago, and he was trailing that. For a moment Riot isn't certain that he should be going this way, but after a moment he keeps going. Perhaps the female had an idea what was out in the neutral lands if she was giving birth in a place not within a packland. That said enough to him as it was, though he meant no ill will towards mother and children. He was just curious, even if it was probably a bad idea to be right at this particular moment.

When it came down to it, he should have turned around to come back later rather than keep going. What if the female got aggressive because he had gotten too close to her and her brood? That was always a possiblity, but it was a risk he felt he should take, at least for now. He had to think of his task, of the place he wanted to hold within the pack. That drove him forward, made him keep walking when everything else told him it might not be such a good idea. Yet if she knew anything.. anything at all that might help him, then it might be worth it. So he went through the tunneling and caves, wondering what the next few minutes would bring.

He was getting close, perhaps too close right now, and he called out lightly towards what was now a den. "Hello? I mean no harm, but I was wondering if you know what the crazy wolves attacking other wolves around here look like, or their names.. or anything to go on to keep away from them.." He asked it, keeping his distance from the den entrance and still hoping he would be heard. His question should be sort of innocent enough, he would hope, and if she knew, good. If not, then he'd be on his way and not have to bother her again. Or that was the general idea of it.. He just needed to know if she had any information on the wolves that had been attacking others recently.
