There was much to consider when organizing inter-pack events. What other packs would be in attendance? Well, Sway had already mentioned that she was inviting those who were allied with Spirane. As a former scholar of Glorall and a current accuser of Iromar I was aware that the mountain pack had once held bonds with all of the Moladion packs, though that had surely changed when Glorall and Asteraia had changed leadership. If Diveen and Taviora were the other packs to be invited, then all would be well as Iromar held alliances or treaties with all the packs that would be involved. Then of course there was the consideration of what time of year it would take place - if the pack had new pups then the time of year would determine if they were able to join in on the travels. Of course Iromar had seen no new births this year, so it did not matter so much for us. Lastly I had inquired upon where the hunt would take place. If it had been within Spirane I thought that perhaps I would suffice to escort the girls, as Spirane was not so far of a trek from Iromar and they were a trusted ally. However, given that it would take place in the free lands I thought that perhaps it would be best to send someone with a better knowledge of physical protection, in case the worst were to befall the event. The likelihood of something terrible happening when such a large group of yearlings that were accompanied by adults was slim, but I had to take ever possibility into consideration.

I was not deterred by learning that Sway intended to host this event in the free lands, in fact it actually created more opportunities which this hunt could fulfill. But such thoughts were not important now; it was the details that counted as I stood before the shewolf as she inquired as to where I thought might be the best place to take the yearlings to hunt. My tail waved back and forth in a steady, slow rhythm behind my hindquarters, brushing against my back legs every once in a while. "Both locations would have their benefits - the fields are a notorious feeding ground for the white tailed deer, and would really let the adolescents stretch out their legs. But the valley is more centrally located for each pack, and there is a great variety of prey there. The terrain might give them a small challenge too." I finished with a smirk, thinking that either choice would be a fine one, but that I would leave that up to Sway, as it was her event.

I looked forward to informing Aithne of these plans, and extending the invitation to both Belhara and Najira. I'd not yet met either of the girls, but I would certainly offer to escort them to the hunt so that I might have a chance to get to know the future of the pack that I had now pledged myself to. And perhaps, if Aithne thought it suitable, a wolf that sought to rise to HellHound might be able to accompany us as well - both for protection as well as a task which might allow them to rise to the rank they desired. I was unsure if any wolf was currently pursuing the rank, but it could be a good opportunity never the less.
