I can sense Eden's steady gaze even as I remain silent. He seems suspicious of me now as if I have something to hide because I choose silence and listening over hearing myself talk. Though I agree there's no voice more rich, I do like to let my friends have the spotlight as well and since Guardian is considered dear to me as he'll be my best defense some day, I don't mind letting him do the talking. At his sudden question though, I turn my gaze to him, blinking once in surprise. "I did not mean to offend. Yes, I am the first born son of Kane and Isola and the heir of Diveen. I only come as an escort for my friend Guardian here and I didn't want to overwhelm you. I apologize for my manners." My eyes lighten, hoping to satisfy him with my answer. Surely this won't be a replay of my encounter with that wolf Covet. I meet his gaze solidly though careful to keep my face impassive so it doesn't come off as a challenge. I guess the last thing we need is an injured alpha for Glorall. Heyel is a great teacher; what can I say?

I listen now as he addresses Guardian, asking of the terms for the alliance. At least he's straight forward with his questions. When he mentions Solaris, I sense the change in Eden's expression and one brow lifts in contemplation. He almost looks amused. Are we not to speak of Solaris? At his question, I blink as if I didn't hear him right. So is it a rule somewhere that you can't ask about someone just because they're not present? It's not like we're accusing him of something or trash talking. We're only curious. My tail flicks, gaze turning to Guardian in puzzlement. He looks to me a couple times as well, as if checking to make sure I approve of the conversation. All it takes is one look for understanding to flow as smoothly from one mind to the other when it comes to us. I turn my gaze back to Guardian as he speaks the terms, my lips curling into a satisfied smile as he lists them. They are good fair terms. Surely Eden won't pass up this opportunity.

My tail thumps the ground as Guardian answers Eden's final question with grace as I knew he would. It makes sense that he would ask because Solaris is not here but I tilt my head anyway. I have to resist the urge to tell him that Solaris is my brother and I think I have a right to ask after him but it seems Eden is just toying with us. I don't like that idea, my ears flickering as I wait to hear what he says back to Guardian.
