It seemed unlikely that she'd ever get a real moment of peace. It seemed like things were constantly changing, even things that shouldn't have. Or things she had never thought would have. Like, why had she left Diveen unofficially so long ago? Ava had wanted Rogue's blood, and by extension, she had always had eyes out for Malina. Besides, she had never really felt right there. She wanted to, but she just couldn't. Between Letum's departure and Heyel's business with his own life, she had always felt like an outsider. So where was she supposed to go? She didn't want to live underneath the rule of one of Ava's children, even if Haziel was there. Spirane was all she had, really, and she wasn't even sure if she really had that.

She had been caught up in her own thoughts when he approached, though she found herself instinctively reacting to his presence with a flop of her tail and a flicker of her ear. His very arrival made her feel much more comfortable atop the stones, her eyes lazily drifting towards him as he clambered up. It made sense not to speak then. It just felt appropriate for the silence to radiate between the pair as they lay side by side, her body shifting slightly so that she might face him with ease.

It seemed like so long until she finally focused on him entirely, a toothy half-grin playing at her lips as she met his eyes. He seemed healthy. It was a good thing to see him in such a state - he no longer seemed so gloomy, and he didn't seem to be working himself ragged anymore either. It was only natural that such a thing made her glad, for any of his discomfort transcended time and space and reflected onto her. When his parents had passed away, she had been able to feel his tension and sadness all the way in Glorall or Diveen. Now, it felt much freer in his soul.

"It's a nice place here, you know? Never really had a chance to climb the mountain, though."

She mused out loud, her eyes drifting to the tower of stone that loomed overhead. What was she supposed to do?

"Tell me. Do you think your sister has more space here? Any spare dens?"

She flashed him another toothy grin, a more sheepish one this time. She had to start somewhere when it came to putting she and Rogue's life back in order, so why not start where things felt most right?
