I don't mind staying back with Vega on the walk to Spirane. It gives me more time to think, to plot. I know she's worried so it helps distract me to comfort her in these moments and let her know that I'm here, that everything's going to be okay. I haven't seen hide nor hair of my children yet but I'm sure they'll come. Vega seems to think something's happened to Paravana but I assure her that the girl is just out exploring and she'll find her way to us. Of course I don't let her know that I am worried about Paravana as well. I couldn't pick up her trail to even try to look for her and I have plans to go out looking as soon as we're semi-settled in Spirane. I just can't bring myself to leave my family or Vega for the moment. They need all the support they can get. Every time I look at my father, I only feel more anger welling up inside me. How dare that little prick go and try to kill my father over what he considers a rude greeting on the borders! He should have challenged me, not him. If he wanted to disembowel someone...well I'd rather it not be me but he was welcome to try! I blame my father's age for him not getting out of the fight so well. He's not in his prime anymore and maybe this is a sign that they should have stepped down before this and given me the rightful crown but now I have to gather myself for the task ahead. I'm not about to just let that guy do whatever he wants from MY throne. Oh no, I WILL get it back.

But for now, I offer my shoulder for Vega to lean on, knowing she still hurts from her fall in Diveen. I have gently scolded her for such clumsiness, telling her it doesn't suit a queen but then I sang all night to her to let her know I don't love her any less for it. She will always be my queen. None the less she needs my comfort right now and I'm willing to give that and more. As she looks up at me, I offer a gentle smile and nuzzle into her fur. At her hesitant words, I lift my head in determination. "Of course we will, my love. In time this will all be a dream and we'll be home again. Don't you worry about it." I touch my nose to her cheek affectionately, licking her forehead as we continue into Spirane. Only when she looks away do my eyes narrow and glitter with an angry glow. I will make sure we get our home back or I'll die trying.
