News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

the only way to get rid of
temptation is to yield to it
I am certainly not phased by him and the hardness of his face. I do not realize that I certainly mimic such hardness in my own features- perhaps with a touch of sass that cannot be helped. I had this moment to stare at him, to look and see what it was that lived in the mountain lands. I have not seen a mountain wolf before, and really he looks like any other wolf. His fur is black, and his eyes are red. He didn't see too odd or too different, although I had hardly seen the wide variety of wolves that live in Moladion quit yet. And why does he first act as if there are no yellow stars in these lands? My eyes only narrow more with a but of furrow in my brows at his lack of acknowldegement at first. Was he...dumb? I am not sure how well I will handle dumb- or perhaps he is stubborn. I can fight with that.

And really, I do need answer and I need answers now. I look towards the glowing thing as it passes between us, my blue eyes blinking with the reflections of the firefly bouncing off of them. They seem to speak to me, to tell me of them but as I attempt to decipher their message I see more appearing, my ears falling back a bit in irritation and wonder all the same. I am irritated that I don't have an answer and I am...curious. I am indeed still young, I know that I do not know all as Father has taught me, and that there is much to learn in this world. I am taken by the sight of them, my eyes unable to leave them after my initial lock on with the boy's eyes, until he speaks of what they are.

Fireflies? I know what a fly is, but a fire? What makes them a fire? I am not exactly happy with this answer, my paw lowering to the ground once more as I brush past him, going to investigate one of them stars as I lower myself to the ground, steadying myself on my light paws as I wait for a perfect moment to pounce. He asks me why I am here, my mind still focusing on a nearby firefly that was about to cross my path. He gives his name- Drogon.

"Fireflies? Never heard of um or seen um," I say, and my butt wiggles a bit behind me as I focus in on my firefly prey.

"I am here because, argh!" I say as I jump, my form springing forward out of the grass in an attempt to catch one of these fireflies. Both of my black paws fly in the air, smacking the thing to the ground although I do not fall on it. It no longer glows so I cannot see it, and I look around at the ground in a crouched position trying to find something glowing, not noticing the bug flailing on the ground only inches away. I frown as I continue to look.

"I am here to get to the top of that mountain so the stars can speak to me, they told me to go to the top of the mountain, that they had something to tell me there," I say simply, so easily as if that was normal talk to all wolves. My father is Yojimbo- the wolf who listens to the stars, and he taught both me and my sister how. It is hard sometimes, when I can't hear them very well, when I look at their sparkles and nothing comes to me. They do tell me to go to the top of the mountain but for what? For what reason? And...will I ever get to know now? I flung my head around and back to Drogon.

"So you going to take me to the mountain or not? The fireflies here are not very good stars," I say, my eyes of brilliant blue landing on him for a moment, with the background flashing in and out with yellow lights. There is...meaning here, meaning as if stars are speaking to me but I cannot understand what, not yet.
