News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

Veilia
eleven ^ no heart/no soul ^ homeless

The ease with which the pair fall in together is noted by Veilia, each step vibrant and filled with life as she agrees to accompany Idunn to the mountain pack in search of her siblings. Too long has it been since she had such an easy conversation with another. Most were wary of Veilia for she was an outsider in all her travels with no intent to settle until she found her targets. Natu and Warlow. It sometimes bothered her as she lay beneath the stars and wondered if they had made a home for themselves. Her sister was older than them by a handful of years and many wolves did not even make it so far in their lifespan for the world was filled with shadows that often blocked the way. Shadows that born teeth and claws with a vicious fury. She worried about her and felt a sense of despair only occasionally; what if she found her only to find her dead? But then she would shake away such nonsense thinking, assured that she would somehow know if that had happened and continue on. It seemed she had traveled thousands of miles, her lean legs eating up ground with purpose. Perhaps this place would finally yield the answers she desired.

An easy smile crosses her tapered maw, eyes twinkling at the idea of climbing each peak of the mountains that they were headed towards. The way the thin air would feel as they pumped through her lungs and the strain on her muscles as she climbed upwards. "I would like that very much, Idunn," she agrees with a decisive nod, their legs falling into sync, each movement coordinated. Idunn had been very helpful thus far, offering both her services and a place to rest as they began the tedious task of searching. So far Veilia has searched by herself for many years, although her pace had been slowed by her natural curiosity in the world around her, immersing herself in cultures even when the local wolves tried to be aloof with her.

"Yes, as have I. Desert wolves, however, are perhaps the toughest of them all in my opinion. How one ekes out an existence in such a sparse environment is beyond me yet they manage." There is some admiration in her voice as she speaks, ears flicking around while her eyes survey the truly bountiful land. Molodian shined with verdant vegetation beneath a pale blue sky. It was no wonder that she had scented so many wolves already. The river that Idunn had mentioned appears before them and Veilia grins suddenly, tail wagging as she trots forward while Idunn pauses and edges down a slight embankment to get to the shallow edge. It is there that she steps in so that the water comes up right beneath her muzzle and dips her head and neck beneath water a few times, rising like a bird in a great array of droplets before jolting back in. Over and over she does this, letting the natural current wet the dried blood and peel it off before she begins rubbing her legs together, dipping her head under and rubbing one leg over her muzzle repeatedly.

By the time she climbs out some time has passed but the blood is gone. She shakes out her fur and it immediately springs into a fluffy state before she shakes and wiggles until it is in some semblance of peace. The sun would dry it quickly as she did not have time to wait around and groom herself. She smiles in only slight embarrassment at having taken so long before they pick up where they left off and head towards the mountains. "Aye, as do I. It has been such a long time. I worry sometimes," she admits with a soft sigh.

The story of Solevion begins and she hones in on it, eyes lifting to the rapidly closing peaks in wonder. They had been bigger? How extraordinary! She wished she had seen them then. "They are magnificent now. I can only imagine how grand they would have been." Then Idunn calls for someone, her musical voice almost making Veilia lifted her own maw to synchronize their calls but refraining. "You have a lovely voice," she compliments, seating herself as Idunn begins to explain who would be coming. "He sounds as if he would know, certainly," she agrees with a sudden eagerness to find out. But, since they had to wait anyways, she lifts one of her paws and begins to lick and smooth the fur into place, content in the current company she has.
