yes, all men must die
but we are not men

Her eyes are half closed, lids dropping heavily over mahogany eyes rimmed in white. Her slender form is draped gracefully over a small ledge, dark-tipped paws hanging over the edge and upon them rests her gently carved face. Below bees buzz in the fields of wildflowers that grace the sun-facing edges of the mountains, the sound causing her long ears to twitch as she half-dozed. Outwardly she looked content and peaceful, moon washed form as beautiful as ever, but inside her mind churned. She had begun to speak with her mother more and more about responsibility and decorum. Her future lay on the path of the seneschals of the pack, learning how better to conduct herself and be more diplomatic, but it was harder than she had expected.

Wasn’t this supposed to be in her blood? Her mother acted as if it were all simply second nature to act and portray herself in a certain way but it didn’t come as easy to her. Her mouth always seemed to move faster than her mind, and that had been her first lesson. Thinking before she actually spoke. She huffed, her sides expanding before she exhaled slowly. It wasn’t that she planned on taking her mother’s place one day. Weather she or one of her brothers took on that burden would only show in time, but either way she needed to know how to conduct herself…a lesson that had become painfully obvious after the furor she displayed in the meeting with Iscariot.

She was so caught up in her own head that it took a moment longer than it should have for her to hear someone, or two someones, walking just below her perch. Her moon-rimmed eyes snapped open, standing up as she watched two figures emerge from the trees into the clearing. Her tail began to wave gently at her heels, perhaps this was a chance to put her recently learned skills to the test! The two wolves held quite a bit of resemblance to each other, though the younger one who looked about her age was lighter in hue it was obvious they were related, if not the obvious father and son.

A high-pitched woof left her lips to alert them of her presence even as she jumped down with growing grace from her rock before making her way towards them. They didn’t smell of the mountains, and though her wariness was instantly peaked she managed to think better of it, instead giving them a welcoming smile and an eager wave of her long, slender tail. "Always withhold judgment until you have reason to believe otherwise." Her mother’s voice rang in her ears as she stopped a few paces away. “Hello!” she said, perhaps a bit too enthusiastically but she still hadn’t quite figured this all out yet, “I’m Kalseru, who are you?” That was pretty good and welcoming right?

She didn’t know this was her mother’s imprint, she hadn’t been around the last time he had visited her mother, but undoubtedly he would know who she was. She was almost a spitting image of her mother, the dark mask that covered her somewhat similar mahogany eyes, her light gray coat that grew darker around her legs and underside. Even the graceful way in which she carries herself with head high and long, slender legs hinted at her lineage; yet despite it all she had so much to live up to.
