At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

Loyalty means nothing unless it has at its heart the absolute principle of self-sacrifice

The fae smiled at him as she turned, responding with soft vocals. Hello. I go by Hocus Pocus. You may call me by Hocus if you would like. She seemed sweet indeed, and she was all alone. “Hello, Hocus, it’s nice to meet you.” His kissers turned up into a smile and he walked toward her until he too sat by the edge of the water. Briefly, he lowered his maw and took a few drinks from the cool liquid. It was refreshing, the way it slid down his throat, especially because of the heat of the day. When he was sated, he raised his head, his tongue escaping to fish the final droplets from his kissers. His bright blue orbs looked upon her and once more, he smiled. For the first time in a long time, he was alone with a femme. Sure he had been alone with Magic and Chenzii, along with a few of his other packmates, but they were his friends. They were wolves he trusted, ones he saw as his family. The femmes – his sisters. He could never see them as anything romantic.

Not to say that he saw this femme in a romantic light, but it was undeniable that he felt an attraction to her. She was pretty; gorgeous even. And it was not that he was looking for a mate – it wasn’t time. His heart still ached in Zig’s absence… he probably even still loved her, even after her betrayal. But who said that this fae needed to turn into his mate? Why could she not just be a fun distraction? Not everything in his life needed to be serious… didn’t he deserve some fun? Kalgalath chuckled softly, he was getting ahead of himself. They had barely said anything to each other yet, and already he was thinking about the future. It was odd to say the least, that he was getting so ahead of himself.

Perhaps he was so heartbroken that his loneliness was unimaginable. It drove him to find another so that he would someday not be alone anymore. Whether temporary or permanent… Kalgalath just needed to have someone to turn to when the lights when out. Someone who didn’t know him when he was with Zig. Someone he could just be himself with.

Do you mind if I sit here next to you? Are you new to Blossom Forest?
