This one is invaluable, that much I do know. He is capable of things he should not be capable of doing. It is a good thing, yes, and I have no doubt that I wish for him to remain here. Perhaps he will pave the way for those that are otherwise weak to do as he does and learn what he has. If we cannot physically purge all the weakness then surely we must at least ensure they are able to take care of their own. As such, I am always eager to bare witness to him. It is almost enjoyable to see him progress through tasks. I listen closely as he speaks, nodding along in understanding as he mentions Asteraia. Similar words have been heard elsewhere, I suppose. It does not phase me so much, however. Renai is no longer there thanks to my doing - or at least, she won't be for long. What their members do is not an issue until it impacts Glorall or myself. That is simple enough. Perhaps he could hear the sound of my lip slide up against my teeth in an amused grin. "How flattering you would say such a thing, Haziel. I am pleased to hear. When she comes, I will have you meet her alongside myself." An alliance? I suppose I will see what those in other territories see as mutually beneficial. Haziel, too, will make for an excellent companion during such discussions. Typically, I would wish for Ava to join me, knowing her keen mind is able to see what others cannot and yet... I have my own reasons for wanting Haziel nearby. He is perceptive, to say the least. Such a thing will surely be of benefit to Glorall in the long term and I wish to test just how far that perception has yet to go before it matures entirely. I could always do with a trump card. "In the meantime, do listen out for anything to do with this Asteraia. I trust your judgement. You have dealt with them in the past. It will be... interesting... to see why these wolves have a particular distrust for such a place." |
