Taytim’s mind had been going in and out of deeper thoughts and things she had learned from speaking to the mare in front of her. Her mind had opened to considering that others looked at the world far differently than she did. There was a power they saw that she had never contemplated before. The changing of seasons, the movements of the wind, a reason for living or dying. These thoughts started to scare the young mare, but she had also made up her mind to contemplate them, possibly try to find other horses who had similar thoughts about how the world worked. Her thirst for knowledge was turning into a craving, and a need. Never would a few sips be enough to quench the parchness that now existed in her.
El Aran’s voice pulled her from her contemplations again and she tilted her head. A smile grew on her face and she looked around her. The falls had brought her comfort and was a pleasant sound compared to the otherwise silence of the meadow or the commons. She could see this spot becoming a favorite of her’s.
“I am a wanderer.” She answered with a shrug. “I don’t call any place ‘home’, but I can most often be found here.” Her ears flicked uncertainly. The other had not brought up any other questions, and her mind was too lost in the unknown thoughts that had been presented to her. She needed time to think about how she felt about the world now. She also craved to know what the world looked like through this mare’s eyes. “Maybe our paths will cross again?” Her voice rang of the hopefulness that was often found in youth. “I might be able to better define ‘gods’ for you by then.”
