Summer was here, and it was killing her. The hopes of rain seemed to taunt her from above. Memories of mother raced around her mind. Mother, who would have told her never to step foot upon this forest. Pausing at a forest pool, Amber lapped up some water. It did not end the assault the sun bore down upon her, but it gave her power to move forward. Trotting along, she continued south. The sun was on the journey to the highest tower within the clouds. Darkness flickered over the land as a wonderful cloud pushed in front of the sun. Relief rippled over her body. It wasn't very much, but Amber was thankful for it.
Pausing to enjoy the shade, a sound caught her ears. It sounded like..... a pup laughing? Tacking the sound, and using valuable time, Amber came upon a den. Sniffing around, the scent of a young wolf around the area. Growling, her eyes flew around the small clearing quickly. Her fur was bristled, fangs bared, and green eyes angry. It was halfway from the heat, and halfway from the anger of someone hiding from her.
"Come out, now" Amber's voice was very rogue and somewhat airy. Her voice would be simply airy and a least nicer sounding if she had used it within the last season or more. The she-wolf barely had anyone to talk to, and her voice showed the lack of communication to others of her kind.
