News - SUMMER

Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.

We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.

As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

I wasn’t sure who she was, the other one who came. I don’t remember seeing her around, although it only takes a few moments of her speech to perhaps indicate why. I’m not sure she actually knows where she is, let alone what she is saying, one violet eye curving slightly upward. How…unique I suppose. Was she lost? This is entirely why Grandfather told me to stay away from loner wolves, they all seem a little….touched in the head although I suppose given the current state of our pack this Covet fellow might very well be inclined to let her stay. His choice I suppose, although really, his argument for expelling the Angels of Diveen in favor of….someone whom seems to be sneaking across the ground as if she somehow believes she is concealed while maintaining she is convinced Covet is being assaulted by a shadow or….something- is not looking overly strong. Alright then. No wonder Isola and Kane never mentioned this one. I’d be a little embarrassed to if that was my attempt at sneaking.

“We are not closely related.”

What? It needed to be said. The day I admit relation to…that thing is the day I allow myself to roll in mud willingly. Don’t get me wrong, she is family and I maintain a certain pride in my family I just choose not to show it so...openly right now. My attention returned to Covet then, the male having decided to bless me with an answer to my question- or more so his theory on the evolution of idiocy but we can’t all be perfect I suppose. I cannot claim to know all of history, I cannot claim to understand what existed before I was born and yet I grew up in the embrace of Heyel, I learned from Neveah, my Mother, I listed to Azrael even though most of what he said seemed to be about himself and someone called Stella that is not the same Stella as Uncle Kane’s sister. I even spoke to Pan, his eyes the same black as the male before me and none of what this…Covet had to say seemed to make sense, at least- the rest of Moladion told a very different story. I believed some of it I suppose, after all, even I knew the tales of Angels and the colour of coats although what he speaks of eyes is wrong. Any Angel knows that, eyes mean little in such culture. That he is…misguided if not wholly confused is rather evidently clear, although I suppose really it is more…pity worthy then anything. For something he didn’t believe in, for he rather clearly does not believe in Angels- he has let his entire life be dictated by them, by the very things he seems determined to change, let alone the obvious contradiction of his words as I let one eye lift again. He made, little sense, his thoughts little more then nonsense really as he seemed to believe my question had been ‘tell me your life story please’ as opposed to ‘why did you remove certain wolves’. Maybe he was just the honest type, or maybe he just liked talking, I can’t really say although my features remained impassive anyway, as if I took true stock into his thoughts as he offered them.

He seemed so determined to claim that nothing had changed over time and yet his own words were contradicted. Angels judged others by their looks, or so he claimed and yet….was Guardian- the very image of what once would have been called a Demon, cousin and best friend to Achilles, walking at his side- not a direct representation of that very change? It was amusing I suppose, that he was so blind to the very thing he believed he saw. He was no better than those he claimed to be standing against, hung up on the reign of Heyel. He judged Heyel. Not Isola and maybe that was his problem. He thought he was so above them, he believed he was so just in what he did. He was no better then the wrongs he claimed he was determined to right, to change and he…simply could not see it. Would not believe it. How very…amusing.

Why the Angels apparently disliked him I truly have little idea, it cannot be the eyes, Pan of Spirane has visited Diveen many times and his eyes are just as black, his pelt holding no white. The mate of Heyel is black, Isola’s mate is black, Heyel fathered many black and dark pelted children. Diveen did not start the war with Iromar- it merely finished it. Isola refused prisoners, released all of Iromar back to their lands because she taught benevolence and tolerance. She was not her Father- but maybe his black eyes are blind. Maybe I don’t find I care particularly. Maybe they didn’t like him not because of his eyes or his coat or his twisted thoughts- maybe they didn’t like him just because of…well, him and maybe it was that he could never accept. I could see that. I am giving him a chance I suppose and yet really he is not proving overly…..skilled in verbal speeches. At least he answered though. There was bravery in that. His PR team would have to do something significantly magnificent though if that was his opening speech.

“I…see."

I am not sure what he saw when he drove out Achilles and Guardian. Maybe he saw these birds he talks of- but I saw cousins, bound in blood since the day of their birth- best friends and that, well, that is something to be wary of. After all, was it not something similar that he claims so haunted him all these years? Turned out or away by Angels? Had he not just done the same? It seemed a good thing to leave my words as the were however. I have no intention of leaving my home so I see little need to offer him reason to ask me to leave- not that I truly believe he can afford it. It was Ninevah that drew my attention then, her quite words seeing my red tipped ears prick forward as I spoke, lips pulled into a grin- just for her.

“You are perfect, Ninevah, as perfect as Mother and Grandmother Zen- both are Angels, just like you. Angeli cum splendore adhuc. ”

I would not have her doubting herself, she should never doubt who she was or what she would be one day, her words entirely true though I added nothing to them as I allowed my attention to return to this new leader, white and silver form straightening slightly now.

“Our pack does not have healers, not any more. I thought I could be one, train, that is. Hadrian, my cousin, has promised to assist in teaching me, he himself was trained by the legend that is Meryl and my Mother was also a healer- she would teach me if I asked- unless you would rather place me elsewhere? We need healers though and I am offering to learn.”

It was a weakness Assassins had always held- a lack of ability to heal and I was determined to fill in the weak points that had been exposed and made clear over the years. I had, so much to do and so many reasons to do it- besides, why not learn how to save lives, if I could? It would only add to my appeal I am sure.
