Dayton City Tournament - First Time Ever!

Quick teaser for our most competitive teams:

For the first time ever, one of the most coveted titles in the Miami Valley area - The Dayton City Championship - is opening its door to teams from neighboring counties.

This event, which is played during the week (starts Monday 20 July), and does not conflict with weekend association play, will now be open to teams from Miami, Darke, Preble, Butler, Warren, Greene, and Clark counties.

Categories of play include Men's Elite (unlimited HR), Men's Upper (2 HR), and Men's Lower (0 HR), and Co-Ed (4 HR total).

USSSA is the sanctioning body, rule set, and will provide umpires for these games, which are scheduled Monday thru Wednesday for two weeks...or until champions are crowned. Plans include holding co-ed play on Thursday and Fridays.

Entry fees are $165 for Dayton league teams and $195 for non-league teams in all categories.

Champions will receive $200 off entry fees for City of Dayton leagues in 2016, City Champions T-shirts, and team awards will go to top two finishers in each division.

No accommodation can be made for teams who play in other leagues, but all are welcome to try to win this prestigious championship.

Registration opens on 22 June and the deadline for entries is 10 July.

For more information, a copy of the registration form may be found on the DASC Facebook page, by contacting James Peebles or Rana Tate at 937-333-7051/333-7057, or by requesting via e-mail from dayton_softball@hotmail.com.

This is a great tune-up for championship play and the winners of each division will see their team photo on banners leading into Kettering Field for the 2016 season!

Discuss with your team soon...and we'll see you at "The City Tournament!"
