Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

When the young pup in front of him told him who she was, flashbacks scrolled through his mind, rapid fire. The scent of blood washed over his senses, and for a moment all he could see was red. With the scent of blood came the scent of death, thick in the air and suffocating. He remembered his paws thundering through the trees, stilts carrying him as fast as he could to weave back and forth with as much speed as he could muster. The brute felt panic again, the panic that had consumed him when he saw his sister’s small form on the ground, blood pooling around her already. Summer remembered that she had always been small and petite, but she seemed much smaller now, lying on the ground, not breathing. He had lost her once, had lost his whole family, and it had almost broken him. Somehow, seeing her again for the first time, and seeing her dead, was much worse than anything that had happened before. He would have done anything to change it, to help her, to save her. But he got there too late, too late to do anything.

And the next thing the brute remembered was rage. Rage at the fucking pathetic excuse for a wolf that had done this to her. The brute had never felt such rage before, and now it was all directed at one lupine. The other alpha had already taken care of the other brute though, otherwise Summer doubted he would have been able to control his actions. The smoky brute had all of this come back to him in an instant the moment that the pup began to speak. One of Lady’s, but just one. He had hoped that Shae was going to bring all the pups to him, but it seemed that she had other plans. How dare she think that she could keep his family away from him. The brute quickly looked around, hoping that another pup might be with her, maybe hiding somewhere else, but his nose told him that she was the only one here, and he trusted that more than his sight. And so his yellow orbs focused on her small form, a form that resembled her father more than Summer wished.

Her eyes shone with tears, and he immediately felt guilty for scaring her. He should have controlled his anger better, even though he felt that Shae deserved it. As he bent down to her level, speaking softly to her to as not frighten her anymore, he was happy to see a small smile appear on her kissers when he finished speaking. Her tears seemed to dissipate as she looked at him, blinking slowly after he spoke. Maybe this was going to be easier than he thought. Her paws moved in the dirt as she directed her gaze at the ground when she spoke. "Well I suppose that makes sense. I thought perhaps you were a demon returned from the grave since my father was a monster that was killed dead. I'm glad you aren't my daddy." Summer’s smoky form stiffened at her words. Why did she know about her father’s monstrous past? What had Shae told this poor young girl? The anger at the kalak returned as Summer focused his attention on his nice. ”I do not know what Shae told you of your father, but I promise you are safe from what he has done and from lupines like him.” He searched her face to see if she seemed afraid, something that would make sense for one that already knew the type of monsters that lived in this world. Though his words were true, he would not let any harm come to her.

Summer changed the subject, not wanting the pup to focus on her father’s dark past. He still did not know her name. He found out her name was Nzingha, and he was glad to hear that it sounded like Shae had taken good care of her and the other two pups that the kalak looked after. He was not surprised to hear that she missed her siblings, that would make sense even when she was older. But Summer did not plan on forcing her to stay in Bright Moon and never seeing her brother and sister again, he had the exact opposite in mind actually. The next words that she spoke angered him even more. He was not angry at the pup, but angry at the kalak that felt like she controlled so much of this world. How dare she accuse him of not looking after Lady and that he wouldn’t be able to look after all three pups. Summer would not take his anger out on Nzingha, though he stiffened again when she finished speaking. ”Well, Nzignha, I am glad to hear that Shae took good care of you and your siblings. We will travel to visit them often, but it is natural to miss them. I still miss my siblings. As for what Shae said, I will have to talk to her privately. She does not seem to understand what took place with Lady and myself when we were younger.”

The femme spoke again, big orbs peering up at him. "So Mr. Summer sir if I'm not to call you Daddy, what am I supposed to call you? And where are we? " He let out another chuckle when she spoke, sounding so innocent and new to the world, which she still was. Nzigha nuzzled into his leg and he leaned down to rub his muzzle on her, giving her ear a quick lick before speaking. ”Well I think calling me Uncle Summer, or even Summer will be perfectly fine. Really whatever you are most comfortable with will be fine. And as to where we are, this is Bright Moon, the pack that I am alpha to and the pack you will grow up in. Would you like a tour?” His plume wagged as he spoke to her, his affections for her already growing with every second he spent with the young femme.
