News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

i am the blood of the mountain
The flow of traffic across my borders made me somewhat uneasy. While I welcomed any wolf of Isola and Kane's former kingdom to find refuge within the realm of Spirane, the constant comings and goings of those who did not view this place as their home set me on edge. I was concerned, both for their wellbeing as well as that of those who had called the mountain home long before the angels were ripped from the red dirt of what had been theirs for so long. In my heart, and I was sure their hearts too, Diveen would always belong to Isola and her family. It would only be a matter of time before one of her children went back to reclaim the throne of the badlands, just as I had done when Purge had feebly attempted to reign over the mountain. The one called Covet had already called upon me, wishing to discuss the current state of affairs, and I had postponed on his invitation. I had much to deal with here, and when those formerly of Diveen finally did find themselves settled here I would need to travel first to Glorall, as I had told Hazel I would do no later than this summer.

My compassion for what had happened to the former Divinians was what soothed my frayed nerves as I was no longer able to keep track of the comings and goings of the pack. There were too many scents, too many sets of paw prints. I found myself keeping to the lower altitudes of the mountain, trusting Sleekwing and the Armament to be my eyes and ears along the borders. Even wolves like Guardian and Calliel - who had made their choice to stay only as long as absolutely required of them obvious - had volunteered to take up patrols as well. But always there would be a true mountain wolf on guard for the pack.

Nostrils flared, taking in yet another unfamiliar scent as I passed over a trail that conjoined with the one I followed. Whatever Covet had hoped to accomplish by dethroning the second oldest reigning bloodline in Moladion, Diveen was surely a ghost town beneath his rule. The majority of her pack had followed her here, to find haven until the day that they could return to the only home they had ever known. But I was not left long to linger inquisitively upon the scent, for an urgent howl broke into my thoughts. My head shot into the air, ears pitching forward as I listened long enough to get a bearing on her location upon the borders. And then I was off, loping down short cut trails that only those who had lived here for a long time knew of. It did not take me long to reach the foothills, and from there I was able to sprint across the distance to where the call had originated from. As I grew closer, the scent of blood wafted on the breeze to me. Mid stride I angled my head up slightly, releasing a commanding call for my Maester or Septons to come to me as quickly as possible. Help was needed that I knew I was not the best capable wolf to provide.

As I neared the gathering of wolves I slowed, not wanting to rush up on them and startle whoever was injured. But as I jogged forward upon the scene I realized that would not be of much concern. The two most gravely injured were unconscious, a single black shewolf moving between them attempting to tend to both wolves wounds. She herself was injured, as were the two wolves still standing as sentries around their little brigade. What happened didn't matter in this moment, for faintly upon them I could smell that distinct aroma of Diveen. I walked forward, tail erect and ears pressed forward with concern. If my presence did not make it obvious enough, my scent matched that of which lay heaviest upon the borders. I was the alpha in these lands, but that did not matter so much as the fact that I was here to help in any way I could.

I tried to call upon the memories of the night I had defeated Skully, what Meryl had told Ceal about tending to my wounds. I could not help but recall Meryl's words about basil soothing nerves as I glanced between the two wolves that I would later come to know as Micteca and Uno. But the two wolves laying upon the ground were the ones that required the attention, and so I moved to the wolf opposite to the one that the smaller black shewolf tended to. He was white with black legs and looked in a bad way, but I could tell he was still breathing from the rise and fall of chest, shallow as it might be. Moss was already laid across the wounds, and so I lifted a paw and put pressure on it, remembering that the pressure would help staunch the bleeding. I then looked up to the wolf who stood over the wolf with a black coat speckled with brown. "You focus on him, and I will concentrate on this one. Tell me what to do, and I will help you as best as I can." I would have to be enough until Ceal or one of the septons arrived to help.
