Riot had not meant to make friends in such a way as to be actually concerned about them, but this just seemed to happen anyway. The way it happened made him sure that this friendship was meant to be, and that it was a good thing. He needed someone to be able to talk to now and then, to share some things with that he could not always be open about. He thinks Renai could be like that for him if he needed it, just as he would be that for her when she did. Riot doesn't think beyond that, but such was his way. He would have a few close friends and that was enough for him. If Renai needed his help with anything -- like even food -- then he'd want to be there for her.

They both knew that there were darker parts of their pasts, but that was okay. It had been a good talk to have, and Riot was glad that it had occurred. She had given him good advice when he had needed it, and he'd taken it. It was a good choice for him, and he was happy with the results. He might not be where he wanted to be yet, but he supposed that he would just have to work harder on it. Not a big deal, though when it came to this task it was true that he had a few hesitations. He didn't want to get bitten by Reaver again, so he couldn't go to Asteraia to ask about it all, and then there was the scent from Paldor that he wasn't keen on checking into.

When Renai spoke, Riot nodded his head. As long as she was okay, then he was calmed about the situation. He was still worried over her state, but he would continue in the conversation since that was what she wanted. She had listened to him speak of what was going on, and then she was saying on how she felt that she belonged in Asteraia. He could understand that, and he could also understand the fact that she felt lonely there. "You can always call for me when you are feeling lonely, and I'll come and find you." He said lightly, giving her a small smile. Then he shook his head on the other matter, not too worried about her not knowing more. It was better that way. "It's fine. I'll keep looking." He said evenly, shrugging.
