Forget the dive specs randy. All depends on your setup. Switched to 30# spiderwire a few years ago to help get out a little extra line and what's in the picture. 36" and over 21 lbs that wore out my guest.
The max range on my 5 cm's is 110' at 6.5'.I was using 90' when fishing 5' water earlier this season. Deeper than that then it's 6 cm time and 75'-85' so far in 7' water. Elevating the rod tips will allow more line released.
They're cheap. Sometimes $3 a pop after rebate or killer sale. They snag less. When they do snag, they pop off easier.Usually break off a hook so keep extra trebles in the tacklebox.
1st thing to do out of the package is bend out the trebles or you'll lose a ton of fish.
Now the 7 cm's will dive.Works well as a propwash rig. Had a small channelcat break the head off a 7 c.m. flicker minnow this morning.Keep those rod tips high!!!
