The Rules
  • There will be no fraternizing with enemies. If you put yourself knowingly in danger, don't expect a rescue.
  • We are only as strong as our weakest link. See to it that you are getting stronger in some skill that is useful, whether it is battling, recruiting, charming, etc.
  • The King and Queen have final say in all matters.
“Beware she who suckles from the Walking Mare.”

El Halin
El Halin introduces herself to the other mares as Nasmat, continuing the charade she began impulsively with Orhan.

Ava’s voluntary recession from the running, coupled with Carisa’s admittance of a disability, only serve to bolster El Halin’s certainty that she is the best horse suited to the task of assuming the title of Lead Mare. She hides the pride typical of her breed as she addresses the rag-tag band of mutts, however, and shows only a quiet humility as she admits to having experience in leading a herd and is willing to hold the position until —and if— the herd finds a mare more suited to the task. El Halin has no intention of relinquishing a position of power once she has secured it, but she doubts a more likely candidate will join the herd, at least not while she is a part of it. Pleased that her infiltration of the Desert herd appears to be going so successfully, El Halin glances at Orhan to see how the breeder reacts to the decision (passive as it was) of the mares.
