It might be funny, perhaps, if he were to know the thoughts that came to the female not far from him. Covet was the one to stalk in the shadows for so long, usually alone for years at a time except for when he fed and killed. Stepping up into the light was a strange thing, but he had done it as a sign to others, done it to make a change, to have the angels fall. He doesn't consider himself a demon or evil, because he does not believe in those things. He believes in good and evil deeds, actions and choices made by someone. Of course the angels had never been good, not if they claimed the assassin lifestyle. It was not a noble thing to be. If they had wanted noble and just, they would have been warriors, not assassins.
Covet would not live the same lifestyle that he had before he had gotten rule, not while he had a crown. There was more expected of him, and he was the son and grandson of Moladion kings and queens. It was a strange weaving of things to be sure, and he had never wanted to take the crown as his own, but he did suppose it ran thick within his blood. Five of the past kings and queens fit into blood and title, and who knew how many of the extended family? Covet might eventually look into all these things, but aside from hesitation there was nothing that should hold him back from what he now was. There was a massive family to beat back from Diveen, and a need to shelter his own blood from being so sullied.
But holding Diveen and being king had not been thought out this far. He had only wished to take it from the angels, to change what had been into something better... or at least something free of such meaningless titles of angels and demons. It was nonsense, and needed to be put to rest. That had been his goal, and no matter who gained the Diveen throne next time.. Covet would keep up this work to keep the angels from gaining a hold again. If they did, he would go to crush them. A crown was not needed to do that. It would be much better to slip back to the shadows and wait again, but for now he allowed someone else to keep a sway on his mind. For now. What happened from there.. Covet would find a way.
He had seen the way the female had sized him up, and liked the look in her eyes after she had done so. But she was no target for him, for he saw no flaws in her, and he felt an interest in her facial markings. Markings sometimes held his interest, and he still wondered of the red spotted girl. Pushing that aside at the sight of this one's smile and words, he gave a slight nod of his head. That may be true, though she was here and that was enough to pause his steps for the moment. He does not need to say it, and there was nothing more to add to it, either. His interest may fall or rise on her next words, and so he waits for them while he watches her attempts to posture. Covet knew she was aware of what could be her own disadvantages in this.
And he doesn't feel the need to posture back. When she does speak, it is curious as to what she has chosen to say. Drawing his attention that she was the only other one out here right now. "Should I be disappointed in that fact, or will I find it more worth my while?" He asks it, but there is no suggestion in it; he does not mean it in any way but in the simplest of forms. Would she be good in a conversation, maybe? Would she return with him to Diveen? He noticed that she was a loner, unmarked as to a pack, and she was precisely the kind of member he wanted among Diveen. She had something to her, held herself in a way that suggested strength rather than any weakness.
