The darkness covered her so fast it was simple to simply fall asleep. Bliss of sleep, it was wonderful, and sadly, shortly lived. Light came back, feint as it was to her world, the light of lightning and moon shadows. Her eyes slid 'round, taking in the dark area. What had woken her so suddenly? Swiveling her ears back and forth, the sound was finally caught.
“You can stay here…but do you mind giving me some room?” the voice was calm, and mostly annoyed. Her mind tumbled and tripped, unable to find an answer. Sadly, it came upon the most feeble answer of wolf kind. An answer so dumb even pups didn't use it much. A sad answer.
"Huh?" mumbled Amber, her brain refusing to give her what she needed to not sound like an idiot. The dank cave, the den she'd found suddenly felt a thousand times smaller and the she-wolf almost had the drive to press paw away from this place, but with the rain pelting down and her bone still cold, Amber thought against it completely. Straining her half open eyes, the she-wolf searched for the source of the voice. Another wolf? It was possible. She hadn't even stopped to sniff the air much before entering.
